  1. It says I can increase your 0-60 time by 2 seconds. That would mean I would do a 6.5 second 0-60 in a freaking jeep. That's just wrong, but yet it feels right.
  2. The mpg improvement should definitely be a plus. I get like 14 right now.
  3. Does that power box chip actually work. If it does I can save myself a cool 400 bucks. Plus less labor for me.
  4. Sorry... forgot to add that in cold air and exhaust already in. Im making bout 210 hp right now. And to answer you question... Y not!
  5. I have a 1998 jeep cherokee 4.0 L. I love to go fast and im going to get my moms v8 turbo Volvo when I go to college but for now im stuck with this. I have a budget of $500 or so. I would like to gain 50 hp. I was thinking of getting performance cams but I didn't know if it would give an extra 50 hp. The ol jeep starts shakin at 95 mph so high end power isn't what im going for. Im going for the 0-60 mph range. Any advice is welcome... except for "get a new car"
  6. I don't want to sacrifice low end because of a port. I would like to peak at like 30-35 Hz.
  7. Trapezoid box with the sub on the top and external ports on the sides?
  8. you could do some really cool stuff with bandpass boxes if you are willing to sacrifice sound quality.
  9. octagon box... like a stop sign! ive never seen that before! dont know where you would put the port though...
  10. I am going to buy two obsidian audio D4 15s here pretty soon. The specs for the boxes are sealed 2-2.5 ft^3 and ported 2.5-3.75 ft^3 @ 28-32 Hz. I have enough room to fulfill all these requirements. I do want it to be loud but i want it to sound great. I"m mostly going for a SQ setup so... Big box tuned low? Small box tuned high? IDK??? What should I do for a SQ box?
  11. Another thing. I can't have it too loud cuz I don't want it louder than the subs.
  12. The cherry bomb doesn't have any low rumble. Its just a high pitched growl and its annoying. What about magnaflow? I've heard some good stuff bout dem.
  13. I have a 1998 jeep cherokee classic. I just put on a cherry bomb turbo series muffler cuz the were 30 bucks at autozone. I think it sounds like crap. Im just wondering what exhausts people have put on their cherokee. I can't wake the neighbors so straight pipes are out of the question. I did upgrade to 2.5 inch pipe all the way through. Just looking for some other ideas. Have about $100 budget.
  14. My point's I didn't ask how many watts my amp made. I know my setup is crappy. Im young and I don't have money to buy good stuff. All I wantedto know was pros and cons of tri mode. I don't need more people telling me my crap is shit.
  15. I come on to this forum and I ask about tri mode operation on two channel amps and all people do is tell me how crappy my shit is. That is why I get pissed. If you guys don't know about tri mode operation don't post on this fucking thread.
  16. Well you don't hate hardcore then. I've heard some some good shit about planet audio and all their reviews are like five stars so I guess I don't really care. Forums are made for threads I don't know if you knew that... maybe you could google it! There is an idea. so ima post on these threads while all you people hate I guess.
  17. in that case it'll probably do 300watts, and you're measuring it very incorrectly. but I'm quite sure its meant to have a 25amp fuse. All I know is that the fuse in the side of my amp is a 35 amp fuse and my dad has been an electrician all his life and he measured the watts for me. Ill let you hate a little bit more though... what else do ya got...
  18. So will it work without overheating is my main question. And thanks for not hating.
  19. Its a 35 amp fuse and I've tested it and it puts out like 790. If that's all you have to say don't post on this thread. I didn't ask how many watts it will do. I asked about tri mode operation.
  20. I have the Planet Audio AC1200.2 and if I use it bridged at 4 ohms I get about 900 rms. It says it is capable of tri mode operation and I would get double the amount of watts. What are the pros and cons of tri mode operation?
