James- no I've only ever worked with plexi once and I learned a lot from doing it this time. I'm thing of making a better jig and mass producing the covers. Lol. Anyway the edges aren't the best in the world either. Thanks for all the ideas guys! Keepem comin! Lol

7" by 10ft?! Did I read that right? God damn, lucky! Plexi aint cheap. Tuned to see what you come up with I know man! I'm excited to play with it. I just am not sure what all I can do with it yet and I don't wanna waste any of it either. Thanks man. What do you think I should do with it all?

Heres all the stuff I ended up getting. The guy gave me all of this for hooking up a radio and told me there is more where that comes from. He works at a shop that turns normal cars into limos and when they throw things away he just takes them home with him.

The same guy gave me a bunch of plexi.. 3 peices of 7" by like.. 10ft and a 19x30 peice all 1/2" plexi and a bunch of medium sized sheets of smoked 1/4". Do you have any advice on working with it? Thats what I thought when I first got it. lol

I got about 20ft of this fiber optic cable for free.. I don't know what I'm gonna do with it yet. What do you think?

I expected the signal light to come on at less volume than 27. I also didn't expect the highest undistorted volume to be one away from the highest he probably expects a signal light at volume 1. doesn't realize that practically every headunit has an exponential volume increase

Well I didn't think that it would be that high out of a distorted volume.

Yes it is on. I plugged a 3ft RCA into the front speaker preout on the radio. I am playing the 1khz tone and it doesn't pick up the signal till 30 out of 35 and it says it distorts at 34 out of 35.

Weird. I plugged a 3ft RCA from the shop directly into the front out and got the same.

It's got front and rear/sub.

The sub level has to be 15 even if I'm testing through the 4channel rcas? It's at 0 right now if so.. Lol

It's a kenwood ddx-318. I used the 40hz because I thought that's what the manual said to do first. I could be wrong. I'll check again.

First of all I would like to state that I pretty sure that 100% of this problem is user error. Im trying to find the max unclipped. Volume on my headunit and I was doing so through my rcas that go to my 4channel. First thing I did was set my levels flat(except for my hz and q if that matters). Next I plugged the RCA into the top of the dd-1. Next I put the included cd in the player in and turned up the volume but cannot get the signal or The 40hz detect like to come on intell I get it to the full volume. Can anyone help me realitively quickly please? Thank you in advance.
