  1. http://www.audiosavings.com/products/Car-Audio-Sound-Processor/POWERBASS-XEX-23-2-OR-3-WAY-ELECTRONIC-CAR-CROSSOVER/XEX-23.aspx What about this powerbass xex-23?
  2. how do i know they are any good? Besides assuming they are good just cuz they are expensive.
  3. I normally do now since i had my first 1200watt amp from boss. But i am looking for something inexpensive.
  4. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2101_Boss-BX35.html This one i may be buying. Is a good choice for the simple fact i just want to have separate frequencies to my speakers. I will run a pair of 8's and a set of tweeters from the same 4 channel amp. So will this crossover do the job or are there any other suggestions? I chose this due to the price and i don't know much about crossovers.
  5. Yes that would be easier and faster than painting in with a sharpie. I would have to lightly sand the led right or would i be able to paint right over it?
  6. the leds are a bit pricey for small quantities in the 50 pieces range. some could come to over a dollar per led. just asking before i decide to buy the colored ones... i could get a better deal on clear super bright leds than the colored ones. i dont wanna mess with that china crap
  7. Its going on a power wheels to make functional lights. Only thing is i got all white leds. I was thinking of coloring them with a sharpie but not sure. just wondering if other people had ideas
  8. is there some way i could paint a light bulb or leds that way it illuminates the color of choice?
  9. I will be taking the magnet cover off to see if the problem is fixed. And no terminal cups just a hole for direct connect with plenty of silicone.
  10. I would say it could be good as an inexpensive dvd receiver but when you start going into adding more speakers and subs i wouldn't go for it... my opinion though edit: Entertainment: This 2-DIN Car DVD player comes with a region-free DVD player that plays DVD's from any country, as well as all CD and VCD formats. In addition, this car media system also plays music from your iPod or MP4 player, as well as run audio and video files stored on SD cards or USB flash drives. Thats good if you are going to be overseas as in being in the military and station somewhere. I have dvds from the UK that are different and cant play on my dvd players unless they play the right region code.
  11. It says it has sub output, but doesn't say how many pre outputs it has. So i would assume that if you want to put a amp to it that it would only be for subs and you would have to run mids and highs off the deck. And it doesn't say what the preamp output is ex. 4v preamp. Without much info on this 2din i would say no unless you just want to hook up the subs and thats it.
  12. Yea separate chambers and its ported. I cant see it flexing to much i have around 500wrms to each sub, i used a dmm to see how much voltage the amps is putting and did the calculations. I have my H/U that has a sub gain set at -20 and the amps are zx1000.1 2011 model and the gain there is barely at the first hash mark. Once i get that dd-1 i will be setting everything properly. Just waiting to get the christmas shopping out the way.
  13. I send my condolences I also have family that do volunteer firefighter
  14. How would i find out its a coil rubbing?
  15. I thought that was the case also but i have the same length speaker wire for both subs. The box has 2 15's each with its own chamber. I did that also and could seem to see anything loose tried shaking it also, i do get a small rattle but its from the terminals. I dont think it could be those vibrating, but a possibility. I use 12ga speaker wire so they are nice and tight when the speaker wire is in. They are some cheap sound storm subs. CL15d
  16. So i have an issue with one of my subs. When it hits some notes i will get a rattle sound from inside the box as if something us vibrating inside. I think it may be the plastic cover over the magnet but im not sure. Any other suggestions? If it is the plastic cover what would i be able to do to stop it from vibrating? Much thanks for support in advance.
  17. Ok so i watch the video and read the prototype manual. So at 3:54 you decided to pick the second amp as the master amp to calibrate why was that? What if you calibrated to that amp and you needed to raise the gain on one of the other amps but you have set the gains with the dd-1 and you know if you raise the gain you will start getting a distorted signal. Would you have to start all over or is there a way you could find out which amp to calibrate as the master? I would assume to use a DMM on each of the amps and see what amp puts out the most AC volts and use that as the master amp, but i am not 100% on that. Sorry if its a question that has been answered already i was looking to see if it was asked or if its a noob question. Just would like to get it clarified cuz i have multiple amps and would benefit from this.

  19. So does anyone still demo with dj magic mike? Feel the bass, make the car go boom etc.
  20. After pushing them in so far you need to either spread the tool outwards or inwards together. after that it should come right out. dont worry about going to far in there isn't much behind it to hurt. edit: Spread and pull or squeeze and pull. cant remember its been awhile
  21. 4 15s and a cresendo BC5500. This is going in your truck? how will you wire the subs
