  1. So far without further testing, 155.2. 1 18 dc lvl5 SPL edition DbDrag N/w box on a Soundigital 16k @.5
  2. Im thining an L box,5 cu/ft after displacement with a 10" port 34 inches long. This was after a conservation with rusty as per needed sq/ft. This is not a sq or ground pounder, nothing but numbers here. Also thinking maybe the traditional n/w box, sq port and sub forward to the b piller. Oppions as i am undecided.
  3. I have a soundigital 16k, with enough electrical to back it, I will be running one dc lvl5 18 in a ss n/w box in a vw golf. Since I have never played with the lvl5 before what would be recommended for box size and port with the power I have. Subs are dual 1ohm, .5 burp
  4. I usually turn it down when innocent people are in the line of fire too but I was bored and the only person I felt sorry for was the guy in front of me because the girls behind me were trashy and I just didn't feel remorse for them. For other reasons which I won't say here because I don't want to offend Antibes lifestyle choices Calling someone trash is kinda offensive in itself. Someone's likestyle is there own, and besides, 90% of your bass is going to the guy in front anyhow.. When i was young i used to just blare it all the time, until i stoped at a red light. the woman in front of me was going nuts and for the live of me i had no idea why. She reached in the back seat and pulled up the hospital cap of her newborn. Since then like the other posts just becuase you like it loud not everyone does. Its cool and all making stuff vibrate in mcrottens but sitting in a drive through pounding it is just assholeish in any way you put it.
  5. Add me as a friend, if you want. I'm usualy around and have been doing audio since 1996 MECP

  6. 149.4 db on my audio control sa-3050 (yes I know its not as accurate as term lab) and tuned to 51hz Next, installing the battery bank. 8 sterling sealed 175ah batts.. EDIT : burpin the subs at 1/2 volume, Pics of the box,
  7. Well, I have two 5500w mono blocks strapped at 2ohm or ill run my 4 sound streem little wonder 2200's
  8. Spl box, I have another box for driving bass, 2 memphis elvs's
  9. Man am I old.. I have to google these acronyms just to find out what they mean.... Lol..... www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/1368-inter-nerd-terms-defined/ That should help you out some. Nice build Btw.. lol oh yeah Btw = By the way. thanks... You young kids and your loud stereos.... Nah I'm just joking, my wife teaches high school and since kids use cell phones and texting, they use that slang in there programing and tests.

  11. Same weight as the xls, handles like the lvl5, 38mm VC xmax and 54 mm Mechanical, handles in the range of 3500rms per sub
  12. Ninjad - when you are assassinated by a lone ninja who used only a spoon to cut out your throat and sent you straight to hell Satan: so how did you end up here Bob: somebody ninjad me
  13. They use a DD 9518F motor. Heavy as hell, takes tonez of power. -Angel
  14. The top pannel (not pictured) has 2 6" areo ports.. Not bad for a few hrs work..
  15. Yes that sounds right but it says not to give these subs anymore than 2.9 cubes each for best performance and right now they are getting. 3 or slightly more I'm am new at this shit so I may be wrong. As long as it bumps good I'll be happy.. I already started on the box with the 38w dimensions so now it's just the port that could make a big difference I will have to agree with ram on this one, regardless of what the specs say the recomended box space and port are there so someone can build it and have some results without it sounding like complete ass. If you want to work with port tuneing try making the port a drop in port so you can tune and remove the port if needed. -Angel Yeah i think its too late i just got back from putting the port on.. I dont know how to make a drop in port anyway.. i heard that external ports work well but again no clue on how to design one. I'm building an external port box as i type. I'll post the pics later on.

  17. My last post before this one has the tweaked Final dimensions. 38 wide 22.5 deep and 17 tall. 3" diameter port that's 10.05 inch deep. so by what your saying, my port is wrong? if so what should it be now with the dimensions i just gave you and tuned to 33-34 HZ Thanks. PS its a single middle port. one port for 2 subs. New box diams, were looking at 710cu inches of port, 15.5" x 3" 14.64 inches long Plot is a lot smother peeking at 121.4 @ 41.3 hz and port velocity, looking at 18.2 m/s @ 32hz max. Be sure to use a 45 deg. router bit on your port mouth and both sides of the port walls on the inside. with this design you are nominal plus 5.13 db 1w per meter Thank you for you help. So what I have now will work good with the 14.64 inch deep port? Will play lows and music good as a daily driver... not looking for SQ more on the loud side. Oh and the port is not an L port right? it just goes straight back? Strait back, in the middle of the box to act as braceing as well

  19. Internal port, Same box diams, The progam wanted to tune them to 24hz, and with that in mind has a very flat responce curve, but in the real world who the hell does that One sub in that box works with the port that his program came up with. Since these subs require a huge box, why not iso them? (I hate iso's but it works when needed to) -Angel
  20. Im showing for a single port, 15.5 high 5 wide and 20.5 deep, tuned to 35. My plots are peaking huge, DB/HZ @ 1m peek is 44hz @ 121.6 db - 35hz @ 117.2 TermPak is pretty good at predicting but like always it will change as the postion in your car changes.
  21. That's a ton of port for 1.5cubes. How do you plan to achieve that? 200 sq inches = 1.3 sq feet, 10" port 39" long. Just a starting point and as i tune, just cut her down.
  22. Not bad, Tonight i'm going to experament a little with either a 4th or a 6th order. If worse case i may just do a 1.5cu/ft box with 2-300 sq inches of areo port.
  23. I have a set of Memphis m3 mojo's 15" dvc 4's working.
