  1. I would go with the big one nothing wrong with a little headroom and whether they put out rated power or not i have no clue but better safe than sorry and another reason to go with the big one is don't have to have the gain all the way up may run cooler, I've heard that some HF amps over heat but I haven't seen one do it... My old BX1500D was a tank and I've ran it cranked for hours DJing a wedding dance when the DJ's mixer busted.
  2. "Let's get fucked up" has some nice bass. Oldie but goodie
  3. I bought a alienware a year ago October. It came with a Asus A8n-sli deluxe mobo and 2gig of corsair xms3200 ram with a 160gig western digital hard drive. They don't tell you what brands of crap they're going to use when you order but I was plesently suprised to see the asus and corsair the comp I replaced with the alienware was one i built with a asus a7n8x-deluxe and 1gig of corsair xms3200 (favorite brands for some reason) I've always wanted an alienware since I started reading PCGamer (like in 1998 or so) lol or a falcon northwest but always been a poor boy till i got out of college and got me a decent job. So anyway congrats on the purchase steve and I'm pretty sure you will be happy with your machine. Kinda wonder what the quad core is like.. seen a chart showing it was like 30% or so faster than the faster clock speed dual core or something like that. Oh ya P.S. Glad you ordered the video cooling, and I hope ur cards run cooler than my old dual 6800Ultra's cuz mines been overheating on battlefield 2142 but the 6800 is a damn mini furnace anyway. Thinking of picking up some of the GPU water blocks and running a line off my pump for em.

    If anyone

I have a 15" XXX Want another one though.
  5. I got this formula off caraudioforum long time ago the equation for the tuning frequency is like this L=(4651704*Pa)/(Fb^2*Vb)-.823*sqrt(Pa) where L is the port length in inches Pa is the port area in square inches Fb is the tuning frequency of the box Vb is the internal volume of the box in in^3 if you wanted to make a 1.5cf (2592 in^3) box that had a 30hz tuning frequency and 20in^2 of port area, you would need the port to be L=(4651704*Pa)/(Fb^2*Vb)-.823*sqrt(Pa) where L is the port length in inches Pa is 20 in^2 Fb is 30hz Vb is 2592 in^3 so L=(4651704*20)/(30^2*2592)-.823*sqrt(20) = 36.2 in so with a 1.5cf box with 20 in^2 of port area, you would need a 36.2 in long port to get a tuning frequency of 30hz
  6. I ordered cloth seats in my tahoe solely just because I plan on putting their stuff in it... I know its kinda dumb to say this prolly but Chip Foose uses them I dont see why I can't lol
  7. Dunno bout actually getting it but it's cool that they are already making stuff to pimp out my ride Maybe a lil too ricer? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/07-08-Chevr...064667898QQrdZ1
  8. Never made a batch that small in college We always used 20 packets of tropical punch kool-aide made the normal way with half gallons of vodka, tequila, rum and a fifth or liter of 190 grain (clear springs) Always used the cheapest crap we could find. With oranges lemons and limes. Comes out to be around 12 gallons + yummy fruit. P.S. - Not responsible for any mishaps while people responsibly enjoy the mix. :edit: almost forgot to add that its best made the day before with a lid over it so it can sit there and stew... and ferment some with the fruit and 20 cups of sugar
  9. To give yall an update I think I've decided to use the double din alpine W200 ran to that H701 processor (combo is around 1k before shipping i think) with some elemental design amps (love the look) All I gotta do is save now off work till the 2nd so I'm gonna try to hit up the alpine dealer in the city to check out the w200 before i ebay it hehe.
  10. If I were to get one it would probably be the 4.1 since I wouldn't need the sub out and I'd rather use the decks sub out. I've never seen the epicenter or any audiocontrol product in person. How does the epicenter get its input if it needs a full range signal?... no way to use the sub out for it?
  11. Been wondering were a person could get that warning made to replace the visor warnings kinda dumb but it would be funny to see someone get in and read it and say wtf?
  12. Ok cool thanks for the reinforcing of my want to buy from HDA ;D The more I think about it the HD3's would prolly want a T3K which isn't really out of the price range... I'm a ways from buying anything but I hope to be done by July... if there is ever a thing as done lol
  13. Thanks alot for the reply, I have bought refurbs before and never had a problem. From my experience a refurb is just as good or better than a brand new amp. But I would feel better with a 90 day waranty than no waranty. Is there a better place to get the Power series than HDA?
  14. I forgot to add that I'm open to suggestions to everything. I am limited as to what I can get around here so pretty much everything has to be online purchases. Is High Desert Audio on ebay an authorized RF dealer?... never had a problem with stuff i've got online but 800 dollars for an amp i would like to have a waranty.
  15. First of all I would like to say hi. Long time reader of the forum and would like to say thank you for all the help you guys have been to me even though you all were helping other people. Ok so basicly I got a new car so I'm gonna need new toys. For the last 2 years I've been rolling around in this: 2002 Chevy Trailblazer HU : Eclipse 8454 Frontstage : CDT 6.5" Carbon fiber woofers with 1' silk tweeter ONLY person i know with components :/ Rearfill : Eclipse 6.5" 3way coax Power : PG Xenon 200.4 and a Hifonics BX1500D Substage : RE XXX 15 in a 2.5 ft3 sealed box That setup was sweet for what i spent on all of it. I live 20 miles from the Kansas/Nebraska border in hicksivlle a mile north of a 400 person town and drive 15 minutes to a 2k-3k person town to work. Been busting my butt working 50+ hours for a new setup and I'm starting to plan it. I'm thinking about this: 2007 Chevy Tahoe HU : Eclipse double din something or other with a epicenter in back Or a pioneer premier 880 with a epic160. Frontstage : CDT HD 3way compset with the HD4" and tweet in kickpod with M6 in door and a upstage kit. Rearfill : probably some Braxial CDT set. Power : Rockford Power series. most likely T8004 and a T20001bd Substage : 2 Audioque HD315's or 2 BTL 15's (Dont want to give up all my room in the back. So far the loudest around here is a 1990ish cougar with a pair of L5's or L7's not much compeititon but i'm a base head and love the hobby no one around here is such an enthusist. Everyone at work thinks im nuts for buying a 2wd tahoe in the first place and think more so since I want to put such a system in it and 22" chrome wheels lol So thats what I'm about and all so my question is 2 runs of 1/0 and 2 2400 kintetiks in the back and a 1400 or so kinetik under the hood with an irragi amputator 300 alt enough for 2 of the RF power amps?
