dwright is there an amp i could find to power those properly for around 400 ? i havnt found anything yet but if you know of anything let me know, and would i need an alt upgrade for xls? because i only got about 600 after the fact of subs+amp, and im helping my budget by building my box, but i dont think it will help enough to buy an alt

subs and amp Im thinkin ill just buy 2 dc level 4 15s for 600 and find a 2000-3000rms amp for 400 The reason the limit for the subs and amp is so low is cuz i got about 600 for wiring, battery, and supplies to make my box (First time making a box !) after i spend the 1k

Alright, I have a weird story of why i got into car audio, which is why i wondered why you got into it? 2 Years ago (today actually, 7-11-09) my little brother was hit by a old lady and murdered (He was only 13) Him, his twin, and I used to like to go on walks EVERYWHERE and one day we heard a loud "Boom boom" in the distance He looked at me and said "Bro one day, i will have that in my car" and i just nodded and said sureee ya will Well now that i look back thats probably one of the only un-assuring things ive ever done with my lil brothers and from then on vouched that I would get the system and the car of his dreams and dedicate it to him So in all honesty, my brother is the biggest reason that i got into bass, and honestly it was worth it... because it keeps my memories of him alive, and that just makes me feel so much better So... why did YOU get into car audio ?!

i dont mind going used lol as long as its not abused my gf got her friend to sell her 2 power akoustics and half of the magnet was broken off haha so as long as its in good condition/from a trusted seller i wouldnt mind going used

Alright so i recently was in an accident and my car was totaled, and now with the insurance money (After i purchase my new car) I will have about $1600 left I want to buy a set up that will allow me to do hair tricks and still sound pretty good as well I will be getting a jeep grand Cherokee (So i have plenty of space lol) My favor to ask you guys is- is there a set up that i can get for about 1600? (Subs (12s,15s,18-s-?), an amp, 0 gauge wiring, box) that will fulfill my goals, and maybe even surpass them? I know I'm new here, and have yet to contribute, but i really need help - and you guys know a hell of a lot more than me lol
