Noise Ordinance
sebringR/T replied to sebringR/T's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
I know in Bloomington first violation is $50 and then they go up from there. On a side note.... I posted this same thread on CACO and they are being complete fucks about it. Sorry I got kinda excited. -

Wow that's a little ridiculous. But then again getting 6 points on your license for a failure to stop is a little overkill too. Guess they gotta make their money somehow. -

I doubt ours is that high. A failure to stop is $135. -
Hell I noticed a huge difference from just spinning my box around and firing into the cabin versus firing into the trunk. I noticed less trunk rattle, and more window flex. I was astonished how much difference it made even without it being sealed off.

Well I can finally say that I almost got a ticket for a noise ordinance violation the other night. I had just got done doing a demo for one of my buddys that I hadn'r seen in a while and he hadn't seen the new setup since it had been installed. So naturally after we went our separate ways I still had the volume cranked and the gain all the way up. Cruisin' down one of the main strips in town I passed a cop sitting at a stop light and didn't think anything about it. Next thing you know I see the cherry and berrys in the side mirror (since my rear view completely fell off) and I pull over. He proceeds to tell me why he pulled me over and that the noise ordinance in our town is that if you can here it from a distance of 40ft or greater than it is a violation. Then he also went on to tell me that he could hear me before he saw me and that as I drove past his vehicle I vibrated his car. He let me off with a verbal warning and told me to keep it down. With all that being said.... SUNDOWN FTMFW!

Just put 2 SA-8s in my Sebring and they are stout little guys. Very impressed with the amount of air they move. -

It must not like more than 15V. -
They are universal gauge pods from Glowshift direct. The openings were too big so I cut a piece of ABS plastic and stuck it in the opening, super glued it from the back, and then bought a thing of "plastic welding" epoxy and went around the lip of the pod opening on the ABS plastic and then filled that lip with filler then cut my 1 3/4" hole of the P1T-S's.

Ok so this is my first time stepping into the ring with the big boys. I'm currently running 2 12" Orion XTRPRO124's off an Elemental Designs NINe.1 amp. I'm running the Orions in series to run the two of them at about 600-700watts a piece. Here is a couple of videos of my current setup: Now I am currently working on pods on my A-pillars to hold tweeters instead of hiding them in the dash where they are suppose go. I'm planning on running a set of Rockford Fosgate P1T-S in those spots. I need to find myself an amp to run my four corners off of and then run my tweeters off the front channels of the HU. I am also looking to sell my Orions and switch over to 2 8" Sundown Audio SA-8s.

Looking for SA-8's if any are available! -
I know the SAs are going to take up more space than I currently am. Right now I'm at 3 cu. ft. with my Orions and I know the SA-12s call for 2cu. ft. per sub. Now with that being said does anyone have the RMS ratings on the 12 and the 15? I know that when building boxes you need to factor in how much power you will be running to the sub, and I will probably be over powering them with my eD NINe.1.
