  1. I know in Bloomington first violation is $50 and then they go up from there. On a side note.... I posted this same thread on CACO and they are being complete fucks about it. Sorry I got kinda excited.
  2. Wow that's a little ridiculous. But then again getting 6 points on your license for a failure to stop is a little overkill too. Guess they gotta make their money somehow.
  3. Hell I noticed a huge difference from just spinning my box around and firing into the cabin versus firing into the trunk. I noticed less trunk rattle, and more window flex. I was astonished how much difference it made even without it being sealed off.
  4. Well I can finally say that I almost got a ticket for a noise ordinance violation the other night. I had just got done doing a demo for one of my buddys that I hadn'r seen in a while and he hadn't seen the new setup since it had been installed. So naturally after we went our separate ways I still had the volume cranked and the gain all the way up. Cruisin' down one of the main strips in town I passed a cop sitting at a stop light and didn't think anything about it. Next thing you know I see the cherry and berrys in the side mirror (since my rear view completely fell off) and I pull over. He proceeds to tell me why he pulled me over and that the noise ordinance in our town is that if you can here it from a distance of 40ft or greater than it is a violation. Then he also went on to tell me that he could hear me before he saw me and that as I drove past his vehicle I vibrated his car. He let me off with a verbal warning and told me to keep it down. With all that being said.... SUNDOWN FTMFW!
  5. Just put 2 SA-8s in my Sebring and they are stout little guys. Very impressed with the amount of air they move.
  6. Cool, be sure to do a build log. Thanks. I do have one started. Just trying to finalize some box designs before I go any further.
  7. Looks really good, Just got 2 SA-8s myself. I need to finalize some things before I start on my box though.
  8. Those SA-8 have larger motor and more excursion which will cause more air to be moved. Plus those SA-8s RMS at 400watts a piece and I will be throwing about 700watts at them. If they aren't louder then they aren't louder then they aren't louder.
  9. That is the plan. Another member from this forum is gonna help me design a box that should song alot better. Well the SA-8s will be louder than what I have already. I just need to upgrade my mids and highs.
  10. Well I'm just talking about finally getting some decent audio equipment. I was pretty depressed when I dB'd my Orions. I'm ready to be a bit louder than I was. Things will get better as I get some more money.
  11. As far as I know they are all sold. I'm dying to get my hands on a set of these.
  12. Actually the car is a Sebring so it didn't come with the R/T package. I purchased everything on the car. And I do believe that the motor mounts on the SRT4 block are different from those of the Stratus/Sebring. Nothin is simple with this car.
  13. Sadly enough nothin is done to the motor because everything has to be custom made. The only "easy" thing to do to the motor is swap to the SRT4 pistons and such.
  14. They are universal gauge pods from Glowshift direct. The openings were too big so I cut a piece of ABS plastic and stuck it in the opening, super glued it from the back, and then bought a thing of "plastic welding" epoxy and went around the lip of the pod opening on the ABS plastic and then filled that lip with filler then cut my 1 3/4" hole of the P1T-S's.
  15. Ok so this is my first time stepping into the ring with the big boys. I'm currently running 2 12" Orion XTRPRO124's off an Elemental Designs NINe.1 amp. I'm running the Orions in series to run the two of them at about 600-700watts a piece. Here is a couple of videos of my current setup: Now I am currently working on pods on my A-pillars to hold tweeters instead of hiding them in the dash where they are suppose go. I'm planning on running a set of Rockford Fosgate P1T-S in those spots. I need to find myself an amp to run my four corners off of and then run my tweeters off the front channels of the HU. I am also looking to sell my Orions and switch over to 2 8" Sundown Audio SA-8s.
  16. Thanks for all the help everyone. I just officially put my subs up for sale on Craigslist. I would really like to stay away from shipping them, but if it comes to that I may have to. My Listing
  17. So pulling everything together into one question... Since I will be nearly doubling the RMS rating running the SA-15 at 1ohm off my NINe.1, would my box need to be larger or smaller than spec?
  18. So in order to run at 1ohm on my NINe.1 I would need a single D2 SA-15, correct?
  19. I know the SAs are going to take up more space than I currently am. Right now I'm at 3 cu. ft. with my Orions and I know the SA-12s call for 2cu. ft. per sub. Now with that being said does anyone have the RMS ratings on the 12 and the 15? I know that when building boxes you need to factor in how much power you will be running to the sub, and I will probably be over powering them with my eD NINe.1.
