Im not complainging asswipe im telling people about what happened to me and a few people and to be weary before they jump on the band wagon... I was going to get another 18 through psi until i realized of their bullshit schemes... and yeah you live and you learn but i wish someone like me had helped me learn they sucked before i invested $400 into a paperweight.

So I ordered a custom built subwoofer from PSI when they started it was a, Platform 1 with 3" Coil 4 Layer Aluminum, 5 9" Spiders etc. So it ran alright for about 6 months, then one coil went. I called Dave and he insisted I clipped it to death. Well I blew the subwoofer and took it apart, its missing 2 spiders and the the tinsil lead snapped and i told him this and thats why my sub was heating up and he still said he wouldnt have fixed it. So I talked to CJ and i guess im getting a recone kit for about half the price dave was charging me well (2/3). I'll never go through him again thats all I need to say the fact that there were only 3 spiders alone pissed me off. btw now I have 2 15" DC Level 3's that are supposidly only good for 600rms a peice handling the power all day with no clipping. Also I might add that he labels his platform 1's as 800rms subwoofer when my 18 was a platform 1 and he said it could do 1600rms.... WHAT A JOKE! Also have a another friend on facebook that bought an 18" PSI hybrid recone and the SAME thing happened and iv eheard similar stories is DAVE falling off with the incoming success?

bump, nobodys had this happen nobody has a DC amp? it sounds like itd be normal to me like when anything powers on... but ive never heard it before so it has me concerned its just like a click like if u switch ur VCR ona dn it makes that click.

its louder when the amplifier shuts off when i turn it on its more faint and happens a few seconds after the light goes green. Then I turn my key off or my HU or something and the amp shuts off and makes like a click its deff coming from the amplifier is this normal or do i have a defective amplifier other than that it runs perfect.

When I shut my HU off or something and the amp turns off it makes a click noise, then when it turns on it maeks a click noise this thing is brand new outta the box basically is this supposed to happen? never heard this on an amp before.

Level 4's won't do 1kw daily? I run level 3's that are handling 1kw a peice with zero problems.

Yes they do that's why you neeed to make sealed enclosures (pods) for them. I knew a guyhitting a 160 that didnt use them and blew 4 door speakers from pressure buildup. I say if you're over 145db you need to invest in speaker enclosures or seal ur doors.

That's crazy yeah this was only 1 coil im assuming if it was a brand new sub it would have lasted much longer it took full gain/bass boost from a ZX2500.1 @ 2ohm on 1 coil for about 5-10 minutes got hot but didnt smoke or burn out I was impressed but still I got jewed on my purchase from dave NEVER again I'm ordering a $130 DC LVL4XL recone for it and doing it myself and selling it for 2 more DC 15" Level 3's.

FixmySpeaker doesn't do L7 coils nor square subs also I wouldnt recommend them daves doing shady work lately.

So I'm not sure what yall think but I'm very pissed off at dave at PSI. Well first off he was going to charge me over $200 to recone my $350 subwoofer when companies like DC only charged me $130. Secondly a tinsel lead snapped on the inside of the cone yet he will not replace it for free... So I decided to blow the damn thing because it was already half blown (claimed to take 1600rms daily) when the current 1600rms daily subwoofers he sells are Platform 2 when mine was a 1 (robbed much?) So I cut my losses and bout 2 15" DC's been happy ever since. Heres the video: Also let me mention that my sub was supposed to have 4 spiders it only had 2... DO NOT BUY FROM PSI there is another company called SPLaudio and that guy charges about half what dave does for the same product.

Difference was night and day man comps are awesome for the price but nowhere near the power handling SQ and sound that the CVX's put out.
