im ordering my first 18 this friday, gonna build a temp box and run my amp to it until i get enough cash for the 2nd sub.

same thing just happened to me, except my debit card numbers were somehow hacked. I called suntrust and they froze my card....i really hate ppl that cant work for their own money

i think he means that not all lvl 5 18's are gonna hit the same number as a result of all the different variables there are in a TL score, but i dont think thats what this post was asking. i think that he meant what is a one 18 lvl 5 system capable of, and wanted to see what other people were metering with a system consisting of this.

with the dual 2 ohm subs you will either get a 1.34 or 3 ohm load, you could do it if you had a big monoblock amp that put out enough power at a 1 ohm load, but with the 2 channel amp i wouldnt recommend adding the 3rd sub.

thanks for the support guys, i really appreciate all of you who are trying to help me out....it means a lot. my signal wasn't clipped, i had the amp set right with the head unit voltage.....but idk, something went wrong somewhere....but now i just have to try and wait and sell the other 2 subs, and just save the rest of the money for the lvl 4's.

I believe Kicker only recones the solo x's, not the L7's. It's just so frustrating for this to happen.

oh and to make it even more frustrating, I just went to the SBN 09 and after I had so much motivation do go bigger with my system but now I have been set back so much with this situation.

I was running 4 Kicker L7 12s off of a Kicker ZX 2500. Today I noticed my amp was blinking green and red at the same time which told me that the wiring configuration was wrong. I check my subs and two of the wires had fallen out. At first I thought all four of my subs blew but I realized only two had blown. So now I am down two 12s and I am so frustrated because I was about to sell all my 12s and get two DC lvl 4 18's. Now I feel like just selling everything and screw having a system. I mean, I still got the ZX2500, the box and two working 12s but its just so frustrating now this happened...especially right before I was about to get 2 18s. Idk what I should do now, I just feel like saying "F" it and calling it a day. What should I do?

thats not terrible voltage drop, but as long as you alternator can handle charging the batts that u have than it cant hurt to add more powa.....do it.

im 17 and about to graduate as well. i got accepted to USF and UCF, and i decided to go to ucf and become a golden knight. i have 100 % florida bright futures scholarship on top of other scholarships that i received from the university and my parents companies.

cerwinvega couldnt have said it any better...also just check your speaker wire going into the amp, or comin out of the box, they ma have shaken loose. if the amp isten coming on at all check your ground, than your fuse.....you may have blown it. if all of that is good follow the instructions above.

why did u decide to go sealed instead of ported?

I added a second baffle which also affected my port and it didnt change any tuning really.

I use the alpine cda 9883 with my ipod, no problems with skipping.....and the bass is actually just as loud and clean as with a cd.

yea man.....just 17 and learned almost everthing i kno from this site. But theres no need to wait until ur 18, you can start up a project whenever you feel that you know enough to do it, i've alreaady gone through 3 setups and im only 17

i use a program called senuti...its a free download and it comes with all the easy to use instructions on what to do, its been the best program that ive ever used with this. ( and ive had to do it a lot)

yea you could do that....just make sure you have your gains set right...and you wont blow anything

yea i would def. upgrade from the xplods......and that amp should be good for you

i ran the crunch pzi 3000.1, it was a decent amp, but way overrated! if your lookin for 1500 rms neither of these amps will give u near that. I would look at this hifonics brutus http://cgi.ebay.com/HIFONICS-BRUTUS-BXi160...id=p3286.c0.m14 Like all the brutus amps there overrated somewhere around 300 rms, but i tihnk its a better amp than either that your looking at, and itll give you around 13-1400 rms. What subs are you running?
