@ 412 CVX You hit the nail with your response. A lot of shops over here do not know how to build boxes and they usually do a prefab box. Personally I rather do a custom box because I had better experience with a custom box than a prefab box. I did an experiment back in the days with a pair of subs with a sealed enclosure. I did prefab and then I did custom and honestly I prefer a custom box over a prefab box.

I am looking for one of their subwoofers but there is a but as always and I will lay out the system and so forth as follows Eclipse CD 5030 Head Unit Morel Dotech Ovation 6 Powered by Arc Audio KS 300.2 Now for the sub amp it is a TREO RSX 1600 312 x 1 @ 2 ohm 600 x 1 @ 1 ohm I listen to a lot of techno but I sometimes throw in other types of music now and then. So may question to the lovely people out there is which Fi Audio subwoofer would be a good choice but has to be in an enclosure no larger than 1 cu ft sorry. Thanks guys and girls.

I am looking at the Fi Q subwoofer but was wondering if I should go down that route or Ascendant Audio Havoc is a better deal. If anyone has any experience with either one or both please let me know. I am looking at a single 10 or 12 in a cu ft enclosure. I have a TREO RSX 1600 amp that does 310 watts x 1 @ 2 ohm and 600 x 1 @ 1 ohm. I am keeping that amp so was just wondering which would be a better deal out of the two subwoofers. Thank you for all your help.

Morels are SQ speakers and I run the Dotech Ovation 6 on an Arc Audio KS 300.2 but in all honesty I would like to something maybe in their higher end line but then again I am looking for something that sounds LOUD because I am a techno freak. The Dotech Ovation 6 have good midbass but in my experience I still think HAT has a better midbass but their speakers are to deep for my door. Oh well we shall see how that one goes.

I was thinking the same and I could do a lot of things to. I could do the following: 1. Put the Morels in the back and throw the Boston Acoustics PRO 60SE in the front. 2. Keep the Morels in the front and throw in some Polk Audio or Pioneer components in the back. 3. Get some Hybrid Audio Technologies Clarus 6.5 components in the front and throw the Morels in the rear. I got a a lot to think about before I start doing something. Thanks guys. Ebrahim

Boys and girls I listen to a ton of techno music but I am not sure if I should have a 2 way component set up front and coaxials in the rear. I already have an Arc Audio KS 300.2 amp and running my Morel Dotech Ovation 6 two way up front but was wondering if I need to addd coaxials in the rear. What you guys and girls think about this? Thank you.

Try Arc Audio and Zapco because that is the only ones I can think of right now.

There is a guy who build sub boxes out here in Fl but his close to me or should I say on the way when I go see my brother. My point is that I could either pick it up from him or have him shipped to me but I am looking for a good ported box less than the shops. Also I emailed him and I told him that I wanted it a certain color and he is happy with making it that color whether it is fabric or painted / fiberglass.

Tell me about it since these shops just want to make like they know stuff but yet they don't

Most of the shops here told me to go with a pair of 10s where the one shop told me I should be fine with a single 12 ported. The shops that told me to do the pair of tens told me that I should go sealed but then two weeks later he told me to go ported. The shop that told me to go a single 12 ported is more trust worthy but the guy who works there I know him and he asked me if I wanted something to sound good or something to wake up the neighborhood. Personally I just want something to sound good with my Morels and that is reliable and fits in my trunk and still have room for my school bag as well as other stuff to. The other stuff would be when my friend throws her female stuff in my trunk and that is why I mentioned 1.5 cu ft and no bigger.

So I decided to go Fi X but the one part of the question was what size subwoofer should I go with 10's or 12s and sealed or ported? Thank you. Ebrahim

Guys I am more confused than Wilde Coyote right now about which subwoofer I should go with. I like Fi Audio X because of the price but not sure if I should jump on that or the Ascendant Audio line up. Please let me explain the whole dilemma about this. I have an Arc Audio KS 500.1 Mini that does the following 310 x 1 @ 4 ohms 500 x 1 @ 2 ohms Now I am limited on space in the trunk because I can only go up to 1.25 - 1.5 cu ft on the enclosure and still have room in my trunk which is a 2006 Kia Spectra SX sedan. Now I am not sure what size subwoofer but I am leaning towards a 10 because i love my techno but willing to go to a 12. I am looking for a subwoofer that is good with that music but was hoping you guys would help me on the size, type of enclosure and whether I should go Fi or AA and which model to. If it helps I am running my Morel Dotech Ovation 6 two way component sets by an Arc Audio KS 300.2 amp that does 180 x 2 @ 4 ohms. Any and all help is appreciated.
