for those of you running 4 alternator on your tahoes. how have you eliminated the belt squeal. I bought the gates tensioner. helped. but still a little squeal when shifting. if you have a answer feel free to text me at 815-530-8340

i saw another guy said that as well, im renting a garage starting the first of the month to tear apart and see all my options. i think im going to just raise my exsisting. if not will just order a custom built gas tank thats a couple inches shorter. Im always looking to hear someone tell me a gas tank out a bla bla bla is a perfect swap for the needs... never that simple

thats why i was asking for pics and what people have tried. i know i need to cut off exsisting and relocate. currious to see what others have done. there are many diff ways to do and want to hear feedback from people that have relocated. where relocated to. and what they think about the ride after

Im sorry I should have been more specific. was worried if i went into detail people wouldnt take the time to read. Im talking about the rear lower control arms. the rear control arms mount under the frame. they are the lowest point sitting about 3" lower than the frame. wondering what others have done to relocate and what is the correct proper way to keep as close to symmetry as possible.

I was hoping to keep the gas tank in same location. just wanted something thinner. gonna use the space on back of truck for hitch, air tank, and batteries

Looking for some been there done that help. What are my fellow tahoe brothers doing with there tahoes when they set the frame on ground? Ive heard different comments. Ive heard fuel cell... but i would like to keep my gas gauge working so i know when im low

with 3 air lines?.... there are no wiring clips. Seems like 3 air lines. lines look like they run over by gas tank. when I pulled lines off there was no gas. So I believe air lines but for what. I took the lines off and started the truck. Ran fine. Not related to the brakes because I pulled forward and back couple times. Dnt believe anything with trans but never left 1st or reverse. I would think a event recorder world need wiring to collect data. There are 2 large air lines and 1 small. Im thinking maybe some sort of gas take breather...... Just wild guesses. Im gonna have to trace lines to find out i guess

I have a 05 tahoe. lowering my rear end and my rear housing is going to hit a black box with i believe 3 airlines/ or fuel lines attatched. what is this box? neccessary? cant figure out what it is.

well ive read all day long. some people say a resonator would help... others say resonators only tone down high frequencies and do nothing to low end drone. others say go to stock exhaust muffler... but bottom line is as long as its chopped I feel im going to get drone. Im just going to cut off my sub frame... do some re welding of support. and make sure i use a tail pipe all the way to the bumper.

Its turned down 45 degres rite now. Im gonna cut it so it faces back a lil more 25 degres. i feel its bouncing off the ground and rite back up. Yes have sound deadner already. I wanted a nice sound out of the exhaust but its a bla toneless sound unless im floored. just light to medium throttle it just sounds like a rusted out muffler. I have a show truck, and i want it to sound bad ass or queit. and so far the trying to sound bad ass has failed miserably. and when I say i get drone i mean on a scale of 1 to 10 its a 10.

I have a 2005 chevy tahoe. I thought I wanted a nice sound out of the exhaust.... but cutting it before axel I get a ton of drone. I was all excited, I did a cold air intake, headders, y pipe, bought the quietest spintech muffler. I have to chop it b4 the axel because im lowering the truck so much. And I get drone drone drone. Yuck. From reading and reading and reading i guess im going to buy a resonator, and probrably change mufflers. I want it super quiet. Dnt even want to know its running. Has anyone ever chopped b4 axel and kept it super quiet

Some guys on here have bashed air bag it .com and said they like air ride technologies aka art... has anyone had any bad experiances with airbagit.com products... they look like good products.

ok.... stupic question... whats a 2 link. i know what a 4 link is i think... whats a 2 link.. you cant only hold your axel from one side.. you have to hold it from top and bottom....

I would like to see what you did. I can also give you my email and you could send them to me. Im very lucky i stuck with my 24s and i had to sell my pirelli 35 series and drop to 30 series or it would rub in the front wheel well when turning just dropped 6" in the front. Im hoping i wouldnt have to mess with my door jams. did you move your rear control arms off the bottom of the frame?

Just wondering if anyone on here has put a 2000-06 tahoe frame on the gound and what all you did to acomplish it. I have a 2005 Chevy tahoe. So far I have Installed djm upper and lower 3" drop a arms, mcgauys 2" drop spindals, I figure the last 3" I will get from the air struts wondering if I will have to cut or bend my inner wheel wells. As for the back i can already see i have to c notch the frame. already cut off 3" of frame, ordered a adjustable pan hard rod because the ass end in shifting to the right a good inch plus. and the top of my pan hard rod is hitting the cross brace I will have to cut out. Looking for other peoples experiance and trials and errors. I can easily see this isnt a project alot of people would tachle as I get further and further into it. Even with the bags down to the 3" compressed i dnt think the frame will be on the ground in the back..... thats where i draw the line. not willing to take up my trunk having the rear end in my trunk.... Love my sounds way to much and need the airspace... would like to hear from people with 2000-06 that have first hand knowledge

so do you only focus on resonant frequency for only a spl build or any build?

no im glade you asked that teardrop. thats what i was getting at. how big of a diff and how much of a diff does it actually make. and what is it really. not sure if im overthinking the whole thing. ive spent days building super solid boxes for someone to pull up next to me with some cheap woofers and crappy amps with a box out of plywood. yea i was a lil louder but i had about 8 grand into my sounds to his 2g of fle market equipment. just wonder how much i overthink box building. i would build an awesome fiberglass box but i know its better to have all woffers on the same plane so the sound waves dnt cancel eachother.

Ive been building boxes forever but have always been unsure of porting and how to customize a box to a specific car. I have always just called kicker and let them make there recomindation and just went with it. I am planning on building a box with 6 15" kicker l7 with 3 kx2500.1 on each pair. i have 6 15" kicker comps on one kx2500.1 went with kickers box recomindation of around 3.5 cubic feet ported to whatever it was recominded to per sub. can someone that truly understands the theory behind explain how the resonant freq plays a part? also what should I tune to. I like a nice sound. listen to only rap. ive sat in cars where they brag about how loud there spl is but sounds like crap. I want an awesome system that is awesome but is also enjoyable to hear the different tones in the music. I should also add i did buy a box pro software to try and be a better builder but it seemed to be very inacurate when tuning a port
