  1. And since when the fuck was 25 feet disturbing the peace? I can hear the wind from a car driving by at 25 feet. It should be like 300+ feet, then I can see someone getting upset.
  2. Was thinking about it, but it wouldn't make sense. I'd have to throw down $500 on a tonneau, a $1000 on subs, $200 on dynamat, $1500 in amps, $100- $150 in wire/ connectors, $100 on building the box, $300 for mids....... $3700 in a truck worth $3000.... Btw, your trucks look bad ass.
  3. I will experiment with one sub and two, make a couple different boxes. Right now, I'm just in it to learn. I can't pull great numbers with such a small truck, so all I can do is work with the equipment I got and build around it to make it sound better/ louder. Thanks again, everything helps.
  4. So the dimensions of my box are Width: 45'' Height: 15'' Bottom Depth: 9'' Top depth: 6'' Subs: 2 12'' Before displacement: 2.04 After: 1.78. I was way off. I don't even have the minimum recommended volume. My subs sound great, and seem to perform well. Heres what I want to do: Width: 47'' Height: 23.5'' Bottom Depth: 9'' Top depth: 4'' Subs: 2 12'' Ports: 2 Port lengths: 10'' Each, Port style: Tube (http://www.amazon.com/Precision-Port-Flared-Tube-Kit/dp/B0002ZPR4W) Port tuning frequency: 34 Hertz Before Displacement: 2.83. After Displacement: 2.46 The subs handle 25- 500HZ. The recommended Airspace is 1.75 Cu ft for each sub. I'm about a cubic ft short. Bad idea or go with it? Thanks for your input, I appreciate it.
  5. Right Now I'm running 2 12'' cvrs in a sealed box, about 3 Cu Ft After displacement. I want to build a ported box, because I have room in my truck to Make a box ~9'' taller than the existing one. My question is, what frequency should it be tuned to? Port(s) to the side(s), top, bottom, or front (firing into the bench seat). What is the most efficient port design to increase air space, since its limited, a single port or double? Anyone think this is a bad idea? Nobody around here has a ported box in a standard cab truck. I like the way a ported box feels vs. a sealed box. I'm running a kicker 1000.1 amp. Any comments greatly appreciated.
  6. 24s hands down. 27's wouldn't be anything but a hasle.
  7. Still dope, same as always. I'm thinking the F-150 needs to be turned into a ground pounder, just to compete with Melissa's truck if you know what I mean. LOL.
  8. Just tell him flat out that you don't have problems with him, but be cool don't get loud with him......If he still wants to fight you, he's dumb as fuck. If you can't reach his face go for the ribs, solar plexus, and nuts. He needs to pick on someone his own size. With a big dude like that, if you're real close to him, he can't do shit and he's got a huge disadvantage because he's so tall. Once you beat the shit out of him, then snitch on him, otherwise you'll only create more problems for yourself. Just write the date and time when he pushed you and they'll get the video it if you have problems in the future. The way I look at it, you snitch on him, you'll get a worse beating if he finds you in the future. You tell him you don't want trouble, and you don't have any problems with him you look a lot better than snitching on him. If you fight him and get banged up and loose, its better than him finding you in the future unexpectedly or fucking with your car or something. If you kick his ass, it was in self defense, you have proof that he was harassing you, you were scared for you're well being so you defended yourself before he could, plus nobody will screw with you.
  9. Shit bro, nothing is going right lately. You planning on taking anything out of it before it goes into body work?
  10. I'm checking in on this thread every day...... Steve, Chicken, and all who supported Jeff....You guys are some true friends. My hats are off to you. With all your guy's support, Jeff will have no problem with recovery. Amazing.....
  11. Its going to take more than falling out of a rhino to bring you down Burrito. Best wishes to you and your family. Stay strong man.
  12. Amazing stuff Steve.....Those doors will probably blow my whole system away. LOL..... Badass work.
  13. What would I expect to spend on a Sundown SAZ-1500D OR SAZ-3000D Sorry about all the posts... Cant find the delete button to combine into one.
  14. They should be able to take at least 1400 watts of clean power each. Like I said from the beginning, I want something I can grow into, or use for more than just one sub combo. Plus, I'd rather throw more (Clean- RMS) power to them than less and clipped power.
  15. A RF 2000 would work as far as space goes. What about charging system/ power. I'm running all stock stuff on a 96 toyota tacoma with ~8-12 feet of 4 gauge power wire, all connections soldered. Due to the fact that the length is so short, should I be worried about burning the wire up? Whats the most efficient amp setup, so I don't have to spend $600 on a charging system? Wheres a good place to get them off the internet and what should be a reasonable target price? I'm looking on ebay and it looks like they go for about $600-$750. Anybody got hookups? Used? I got a lot to learn, so all help is appreciated.
  16. Thanks for your help. How do you like that sundown amp?
  17. Guess nobody knows of a good amp? I just need an opinion....
  18. So I've been looking around for a little while trying to find a bad ass amp that pushes out enough power to handle 2 12'' Kicker l7s and fits within a 25'' length. Its going into a single cab truck, so thats why I'm kinda limited with space. I've been told rockford is shit and its inefficient, Memphis is good, memphis is bad, JL is the best, I just need a direction. Not really too concerned about price, as long as its not ridiculous. I'm just looking for something that will give me clean power, something that I can 'grow into' as someone said here, so I have an amp that works for the future woofers. I've tried out a kicker(1000.1), rockford (Punch 800.2), and crunch amp(250.2), of which I liked the kicker the best.... Also, is it possible to blow a subwoofer if you have an amp that puts out a lot of power, but the gains are set right? Say I was running 1 800 watt subwoofer off a SAZ-3000D..... If I set the gains and HU up right, will that sub blow?
  19. Good shit as always... I would love to hear something that loud. If you ever hit up a sound competition in Midcal or around there, are you gonna let us know?
  20. Can't wait to see it........ Chicken has heard it before today, right? Video is private.....
