So I have been asking and asking about console boxes for my F250. I finally went in sketchup and this is what I came up with. I have 2 or 3 more designs but I think this one is the closest to what I want. It is still a little bit big for My Sundown Z v.2, but I am only running it on a sax1200d. Do yall think I should add some things to the inside to get volume down, just leave it as is, or do a whole other design? I hand calculated the volume and got 2.38 ft^3 after sub displacement and port displacement. The port is 10inches wide by 2.5inches tall by 28inches long which puts this tuned right at 30 hertz I think.

So i have a 2001 F150 that I have a Sundown Z v.2 12 in. The box is 1.8cubic ft at 32hz and It is being pushed by a Sundown SAX-1200d amp. I still have stock alternator and Red duralast battery. Voltage reads 14.4 and up at idle, but does go down a little bit when I play the sub hard. I dont really have problems pushing the sub right now, but I know I need better electrical. I plan on adding electric fans in the future so I need some electrical upgrades before I can. I have Big 3 done in 1/0 welding wire and all the wire to the amp is 1/0 welding wire. Should I just get One big battery and leave stock alt, or add 2 batteries with stock alt, or upgrade alt with One big battery. Give me suggestions on which battery I should get that will fit under the hood of a 2001 F150. Right now im guessing system is 1200-1500rms, but I want to have enough electrical so that I can run 1500-1800 rms and electric fans. What would you all recommend??

try and up it to 500!then go with Skar vvx12, Sundown sa12, or Alpine type r 12 (Dual 4ohm) just use the amp you had picked out KnuKonceptz cca would prolly be alright for you A cheap alpine or pioneer headunit with parametric eq A set of 6.5 components with high sensitivity to run off the headunit if your not running a speaker amp. All that can be found in classifieds at very reasonable prices. My first system was decent but i wanted more and ended up losing money by selling it to pay for my better system. Do it right the first time!
