  1. I think it looks fake.. like at 3:46 during the explosion from the side..
  2. I said I would like to try it if it would work, but I'm not going to do research to see if it will. I'm just going to get a PSi recone like I said earlier.
  3. I'm reckoning it because it ripped a spider you ass, not because I thought it had poor sq. Never said a thing about sq.
  4. If it worked why not? I might get a PSi recone. For some reason I feel attacked for asking this question.
  5. I would like to try an Fi Q recone if that'd work. I'm pretty sure they're the same price..
  6. The video makes it sound waaaayyy worse than it really does. But it still sounds bad.
  7. I'm going to recone my AQ (SQ fuuuuuu) and can I use any 18" recone with a 3" coil?
  8. Hooked it up to Nikita's amp today on free air. Definitely the sub, DAMNIT. I don't understand. Coils read 2 ohms and there is no visible damage to the coil. No coil rub. Sounds good at low volume and then when the sub reaches a certain point of excursion you hear it and it sounds like it's bottoming out but it's FAR from bottoming out. We got a video I will post later.... I think it's recone time. FOOEY.
  9. Got new RCA's today and the noise is still there. It might just be my brain but I think it's a little bit quieter though...hmm. I'm going to test it tomorrow with NIkitaaa's amp and hopefully will be sending my amp back under warranty unless it's something whack with the sub...which would suck.
  10. Okay I'll do that tomorrow. I'm also going to try it with another amp and RCA's to see if one of those is the problem.
  11. Okay just checked the coils. Both read 1.9 so it's not blown.... UGH! What next??
  12. Interesting. I'll be taking it out of the box either tomorrow or tuesday and checking everything out in detail.
  13. Yea well I know it's the sub. At first I thought it was super hard roof flex but then I can turn it down and put my head on the cone and hear the clipping like hollow/harmonic sound. and the sub is broken in. with ~1200 rms in ~7 cubes..
  14. Okay I moved my box about 6 inches from my hatch and it's still making the noise. Is there any possibility it could be from stress on the basket?? because I didn't hear it when I had the sub inverted. I will check the coils on either monday or tuesday with a DMM..
  15. Yea it's close to that sound. Not quite as bad..
  16. Yea it happens every once and a while.. The only camera I have is on my phone and I doubt it'd pick up the noise
  17. Sometimes, but it happens at all frequencies.
  18. Interesting. Should I move my box closer to the hatch? It's nearly a foot away.. I would shoot for 6-8 inches or the width of the port. Aight I'll move it closer in the morning and see what happens. If it fixes it I will be super happy. I honestly doubt moving it 3inches back is going to take that weird sound away. The sounds is like roof flex, only coming from the sub.. I just find it hard to belive that you messed up that sub from only 1200 watts not including box rise ect.. Take a volt meter to the coils. That would be the first thing I would do. I would move it like7 inches Nikita. And I never heard it when I had it closer when I had my seat up.. I will test it on Monday or Tuesday.
  19. Well it sounds more like clipping than a piece of coil
