  1. looking for a price on a lvl 3 OR lvl 4 shipped to 14622. also, can someone explain the difference between m1 and m2 to me? and prices on how much those would be? thanks
  2. the subs wouldnt, but you could blow fuses and/or fry the amp.
  3. im not knocking anything, he came here asking for advice to sound better, and i am giving him that very advice. thanks for your concern, have a good night.
  4. "messing with the ohms" is one of the most important parts of car audio. why would you want 4 ohms? with that amp, youre aiming at 2 ohms...
  5. OHHH YEAH, and it sounds to me like you are wired at 1 ohm when that amp isnt stable at 1. Definitly use the boss, and if it is DVC, wire it + + and - - to the amp bridged
  6. i wouldnt even bother using the soundstream, itll probably just junk up your sound quality. Polk is known for very good sound quality product. My buddy has the same amp, and it sounded amazing on Four 10s. Turn the LPF to 80 or 100 (should make louder), turn gain to around 60%(ish), turn the boost switch to 0db, phase to 0. and its really not good to have mis-matching subs. at all. Get new subs.
  7. well, i dont think you'd get much sq from a boss, and i expect it's in a store-bought box which is even worse. I would give it a try, wire it to 2 ohms if you can, and if it doesnt sound as good, build yourself a new box. no offense, but your system sounds like a mess. save up and buy some nice new equipment. but for now, GO PORTED AND TURN THE GAIN DOWN!
  8. gain is too high. if you want louder, go ported. IMO, a low tuned ported will destroy a sealed box in both SPL and SQ. Then you can turn the gain down and save your subs.
  9. pa880....is that the polk monoblock, 2 ohm stable?
  10. I KNOW THIS SONG, let me browse itunes quick and ill let u know
  11. mehh, the XD line is really not much better than an Alpine typeR or rockford P3. If it was a TNT, HD, VFL, XFL, then you wanna buy to recone. But, then again, it's not my money. I'm sure PSI could make that sub sound and look really nice.
  12. i did...many times. i wouldnt come here trying to waste anybodys time by not reading the manual first. One of the tracks says "use for a louder system", the other says "use for a compromise" or "use for sound quality". The sound quality track isnt nearly loud enough for my likings, the "compromise" is alright, but i feel like my amp isnt pushing the subs to thier fullest potential, and i'm afraid the "loud system" track is giving too much distortion to my everyday listening music.
  13. i really don't know which one to use for my subwoofer amp. I've tried all of them, but with each different one, the gain seeting is different. I mainly listen to metal or dubstep. I want my system to be as loud as possible without distortion, but im pretty sure the music i listen to is the same dB as the track that says "for a louder system, use track..."
