And have my truck in the shop for weeks without and alt. weeks??!! an alt replacement should take a shop a couple hours. what was wrong with fitment? The alt replace took around 2 hours, but after discovering that the alt didn't fit I attempted several times to contact DC Power with no success. I had to wait until the BBB to contact DC to even get a response so that I could get a refund. so you had your truck sitting in a shop for weeks at a time instead of throwing the old one back in and getting it on the road? either that or Im not following your reasoning. I agree that you shouldn't have had to call the BBB to get ahold of them, but having your truck sitting in a shop for something as simple as an alt replacement is just a bad judgement call. My old one was malfunctioning

I was watching them install it. I saw everything. The alt was hitting against the factory mounting bracket.

I've recently installed a Shurikne BT-120 in my trunk and a Optima Red Top under the hood. I am upgrading my sub amp from a Planet Audio 1400w at 1ohm(i ran it a 1ohm) to possibly a AQ2200 or a Hifonics BRZ2100. Either amp will be running at 1ohm. My question is do I need a H/O alt? I do have 1/0 running front to back. If I do need a H/O, where to find one for my 98 Jeep Cherokee, because I've had a very hard time finding one that actually fits. DC Power is out of the question. They said, "Direct Fit," but the alt didn't fit and they took for ever to refund my money.

Does Python make an alarm with an engine disabler? If so, which model? Thanks

I don't want a "vs" thread. I'm asking is the JLs worth the extra price when I can get Skar subs much cheaper.

How does skar compare to JL Audio? I'm speaking in terms of SQ and actual quality. I have some guys at a local shop that swear by JL, but i honestly think that they are ridiculously overpriced compared to Skar and many over non-mainstream brands.

Hi everyone, I have 2 Kicker L5 15s that I would like to have a new box built for, because the prefab Atrend box that I have is tuned to high for my taste(42hz)and I have no clue on how to tune an enclosure. I'm looking for an enclosure that is tuned to 32hz or below and is 42" wide x 23" deep. The height really doesn't matter. I'm looking for something $250 or less if possible, because i'm on a very tight budget. Can someone please help me? I live in a 39743 zip code for shipping purposes.

How loud does the Q get compared to the L5s? Appeles with oranges, the FI sub have the highest quality, the Obsidans and MTX are more in the range of the Kicker´s. The Kicker´s are not realy comparable. By the way we don´t know the size of the Kickers, they have diffrent specs from size to size. The RMS watt´s of the Kicker´s are between 450-750 watt´s, they all have a bad dB/watt ratio the 15 87.8. The Q is 1500 watt and dB7watt ratio 92, that´s much better and the Q is build to sound good and loud. The The Kickers are 15s

I'm doing a bit of research to upgrade my system. I was looking into getting one FI Q 18, but I've never heard it and i'm afraid that it might not be what i'm looking for. I had 2 kicker L5 15s tuned to 42hz. they were loud but they were a bit sloppy and didn't hit the lows the way I wanted. I'm currently still considering 2 Obsidian 15s tuned to 32hz or 3 MTX TR5515s in a sealed enclosure. The Q is still an option. I'm looking for a setup that is going to at least be as loud at the L5s but more musical and killer on the lows. I have a budget of $850 for box, subs, and amp. Also I was looking into a $200 Hifonics amp because its in my budget and meets my needs. I am opened to any suggestions on any equipment. Thanks
