  1. I wanted to keep the sub box, amps and batteries behind the rear seats. I also wanted to keep the box as short as possible. That's why I didn't make a rear firing port. Also, it rattles the rear twice as bad like that too.
  2. Here's all I can get out of it for now. Vehicle was closed up and legal on the dash. I will let you know tomorrow LSN2meBoom 916 about all the specs. I honestly don't remember right now. I have to get my notebook from work tomorrow that everything is wrote down in.
  3. Ya, I'm a little behind on the pictures of the finished product, LOL. Anyways, here it is. No, it didn't take me this long to get the box done either.
  4. I've still got a JBL Crown amp for sale. PM me if interested or email [email protected] http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...?showtopic=8151
  5. Here's a few amps I have for sale JBL Crown 6000 Gti $1900 shipped via UPS in the 48 US states, AK and HI extra rated power is 6000 RMS but actuall power is around 8000 RMS. Hifonics Bxi 2006D $200 shipped amp is rated at 2000 RMS at 1 ohm, but is a little overrated the only thing I ever used this amp on was a Kicker L715 D2 All amps are used, but are in perfect working condition
  6. Murt, you really need to take the gas tank down and see where it is leaking from and fix it. A leaking gas tank is not exactly safe. I can't really see where the stereo would do that to the gas tank (I know it rattles alot though).
  7. 7.1 Kenwood VR-8070 Receiver Yamaha front speakers, Paradigm center and PS1000 sub (awesome sub by the way) Gotta upgrade all the surround and rear speakers someday. Polk XM receiver, Samsung BD-P1000 Blu-Ray Player Toshiba 30" HDTV I only have room for so much until I get my house built. Here's a couple of pics
  8. Congrats Steve, the site is doing well. Cali is a loooong ways for me, but it would be worth it to sit in the hoe I too would like to meet you and the rest of the SMD people from here as well Eric
  9. Yep, it's time for a new box in the ol explorer. I had the last one in there for a couple of weeks. I didn't like the looks of it and I'm not ready to wall it off yet... (I will when I get another vehicle to drive) Anyways, I'm gonna try 4 Kicker CVX 10's with a 2500.1 for power This is about how far I got today with the box. I'll have it finished up by the end of the week.
  10. Subs are all sold! Thanks everyone. Mods, you can delete this post. Eric
  11. I had a JBL Crown on 10 of them in my car. It was doing about 148 at 32 hz. It sounded alot louder than the meter said though. BTW, I only have 8 of these 10's left!
  12. up for sale is 12 Pioneer TS-W256DVC 10" subs. They are dual 4 ohm coils. power rating on them is 350 rms 800 peak. Subs can take much more than that in the proper box though. They are in exellent cosmetic condition. All the subs have about 2 weeks of use on them. Some of them came out of my car and from another box I built. They are about a year old. I just tested all of them earlier today and they work great. $25 each plus shipping. If anyone wants to know what kind of box they work good in I can give you specs. I tested several boxes before I got one that worked great for them. If you need any more info, my e-mail is [email protected]. Eric
  13. Free box too for anyone that wants to come and get it. Box is 10 cubes with 100 sq. in of port Batteries not included of course
  14. don't know. I'm to lazy to get take the termlab and laptop out there, lol. Eric
  15. Subs are sold! Still have 1 Hifonics amp left. $280 shipped. I'll get a pic of the amp if someone is interested. Everything is still installed in the vehicle right now. Gotta make time this weekend to get it all out. my e-mail is [email protected] Eric
  16. update if anyone is interested.. I got the box in the truck and tested it out today. It sounds ok, but I think the other box I had in there was a tad bit louder. The old box was 6 cubes per sub with 56 sq. in of port. The new box is 10 cubes before sub and port displacement with 100 sq. in of port. The old box had the port firing up with the subs though. I think I'm gonna keep this new one for a while though because it gets my batteries out of my back floorboard. Anyways, I'm still gonna glass the whole inside and round all the corners off of the new box. Eric
