  1. They don't recommend anything lol..I'll have to call them tomorrow and ask them.
  2. The type of subs is located in my signature.. it's going to be 4 ALUM10N audiobahns.
  3. Well in my manual ...for my subwoofers...it says something like and EBP of less than 45 is for sealed...and greater than 65 for a ported box...although the EBP of my subs are 56...so that's what I'm confused on.
  4. So what would you suggest for a sub that has Qts: .47 Qes: .51 Qms: 4.9 Vas: 35L Vas: 1.24ft^3 ???
  5. Okay...a while back a guy I talked to who was an audiophile said if you have a small inner cabin space...your subs would want to be sealed...and big inner cabin space would be ported.. Only reason I'm asking this question is because I have a Buick Skylark...the inner cabin isn't really that big and I'm deciding on either to build a ported box...or keep the sealed box that I have now. Thank you.
  6. The box is measured from board to board...*just so you don't get confused* ex...the total height is 15"h...but the middle pieces are 13.5"..so external dimensions. MDF is 3/4" , front plate is flush mounted. Back port piece is 4.9 or 4 29/32" the long piece is 14.5". The prism piece is like one 2" long *middle piece* and 1 1/2" on apart from the middle piece...*two .75 cut together at a 36 degree angle. I can do a layout on a full 3/4 MDF board and label them if you'd like.
  7. For a regular rectangular box I got measurements of 36w x 15h x 20d. Port Measurement: 4w x 13.5h x 19.4d...box tuned to 35hz. Total volume after speaker/port displacement: 4.062 *add a few baffles/braces...and it'll smooth that volume to 4ft^3 Here's my idea... Was going to add an amp rack to the back, but the box may not be able to slide into your trunk if I did.
  8. Merry Christmas to everyone -Carshateme

  9. Yeah big 3 upgrade can run from $55-$200...depends on what you get.
  10. Well first we need the maximum space in which we can play with.
  11. Ah sorry, Bump for this guy's question. *I tend to kill a thread. =( I could answer the question if it was the GMC Sonoma...considering I owned a 1995 GMC Sonoma and ran a 10,000 watt system though it...until someone stole my catalytic converter..then my ERG went down the drain...spark knocking...and etc...so I sold the truck for $1,000..and sold the system for like $1,500.
  12. Still looks good. Props on the design. =) Only thought harbor freight was in Michigan...but I'm always wrong...too lazy to google it.
  13. Yeah yeah...like I said, I was drunk at that time...shouldn't have been on the forums, so forgive me...but even if they are 15s...unless your doing a V shape or something....your box is going to have to be atleast 62-64" in width.
  14. Ya, I would suggest buying from sonic as well..they have exceptional customer service and such. For amps...if you want a good cheap amp...Kenwoods have a good 1000 watt mono amplifier that runs for $124 or such, I sold mine for $100...so if you get lucky you can catch them for sale. They have very good power behind their equipment.
  15. I like the tow strap idea...gonna steal it xD
  16. There's no way you're going to fit 4 18s on one face plate... Just wanted to point that out o.0 Re-edited....this is what drinking does...doesn't allow me to think, you can put them on your upper face plate >.<' ...but it'll be a tight fit.
  17. Imo I'd get a new vehicle lol...i have a 95 buick n it does nothing but problems....but thats just me
  18. I would not recommend kenwood subs =X Their amps are fantastic but their...subs are poorly built. But there are a few good models they make...I'm not trolling here. For amp...get the Kenwood 1000watt A/B amplifier...lol. or another 1000watt D amplifier. For that set up...you shouldn't have to upgrade your alternator...you may have to go out and buy a kinetic battery. (I spelled that wrong I know)
  19. well between the wheel wells is 36" x 15 x 20...outside the wheel well is about 52 x 15 x 24
  20. Here's the new box... I got it almost at max recommended port. The reason it goes inward at the back end is because of the wheel wells. I don't even think there will be enough room to push that air back between them. Total volume after all displacements *sub, port* is 4.647 the max port for 4 subs...is 4.7.
  21. Well I am making another design if you'd like to judge that one, you opinion will be greatly appreciated...if I'm not mistaken...you have a youtube video of your cavilar, right?
  22. I got them all currently wired at 3 ohms...I don't want to push my single HIF2000D Hifonics amp that hard...considering it is only 1 ohm stable. My electrical is fine..I have the big 3 upgrade...more than enough grounds...imo to much ground...220 amp alt...at 4000rpm.
  23. Yeah they're dual 6 ohms...I only paid $129 for 4 of them..I'm not expecting a whole lot lol..I already know they are NOT 800RMS each..maybe 600rms
  24. Can't use just 2 woofers...my amp will blow them...reason I have 4 in there is to distribute the watts among the all.
  25. Got 4 audiobahn alum10n and currently the box I have them in is a sealed box..2 are on the face plate and 2 are on the top....the top ones are causing problems to my 6x9s...so I'm thinking about building a ported box for them...but I don't even know if this is wise to make a box like this one... Box tuned to 35hz...for I don't listen to much deep bass rap songs...mostly dubstep and techno.. Picture listed below. Thank you for your input.
