btw people are dicks too.. i've had my sunroof smashed by stupid ass kids trying to run on top of my car when coming home from the bar/club.. this was before i had my cameras of course tho.. or else someone would have gotten a foot up the ass

i've had q-see, the picture during the day is ok for pretty much as far as you can see.. at night things can get a little blurry and you'd probably only be able to see about 30 - 50 feet clearly... however i bought my q-see system from costco and returned it within 3 because ALL the cameras began to fuck up from weather.. cheap piece of shit anyways i bought a lorex system.. the viewing is the same during the day and the night vision is a little better but nothing more to brag about..you can still make out people at night.. especially if you see them around all the time.. i've had it for over a year and a half now and it's saved my ass a couple times when shit would happen to my cars out front... the cameras are good quality except one is fucking up now but that's because i accidentally pressure washed it when washing the side of my house.. i would recommend them to anyone.. they record 24/7 and came with a 500 gb hard drive.. thats about a week or two of video at the highest settings.. it also has motion sensor.. you select in on each camera and when something enters it would start recording.. i just leave them on all the time tho because if a leaf blows it starts recording anyway -__- lol if you're willing to pay more i heard that swann is a pretty good company also... just check out costco.com if you're a member.. they're return policy on if it fucks up is GREAT too.. btw sorry to hear about you and your friend's cars.. that's really fucked up and i know exactly what you're going through.. just leave a bat by your door just in case lol

thanks guys i really appreciate the help. Holy shit. That's a a pretty big increase! I think i will get a new battery asap tho because i don't want to have to disconnect the battery all the time. You're so right. Now I have a $40 paperweight to look at tho lol. I'll look into buying a new battery unless you would like to donate one or two to me from your arsenal Lol. I know! I feel so honored to get a response from mr. meade lol

i think i might just put the extra money down and upgrade the front battery. Disconnecting it sounds like a lot of work unless i use a circuit breaker. i was just wondering if there were any easy fixes. thanks a lot tho.

Hey guys, what's up? i have a second battery in the trunk and i ran an isolator to it because i didn't want the two batteries to discharge each other since the one in the back is a kinetik and the one in the front is some crap from autozone.. i wanted to replace the front battery with a kinetik too but the problem is that my car is european and the positve and negative leads are reversed making it impossible to put a kinetik in the front without having to extend the cables, plus the battery is too tall to fit anyway. i temporarily ran the turn on lead from my headunit to the turn on lead on the isolator and the isolator was running fine for months now but recently i have been getting a problem where the isolator wouldnt activate when i turn on my head unit leaving the two batteries disconnected with no charge going to the back.. idk what's causing it.. even putting a constant 12v on the turn on lead isnt activating it.. anyone have any ideas? thanks

Thanks for the response. For an amp that is 1,2 and 4 ohm stable, will it also be stable at 2.6 ohms? I definitely will be running a crossover with it. I have an extra set of crossovers from my o2's that i will probably use for now. But just in case, what would you recommend that I use? The amp will be fine. If those crossovers were made for 4ohm tweeters then the crossover points are going to be different with the 8ohm tweeter connected. I'd just use a capacitor inline on the tweeter. Thanks. I thought the amp would be ok. I have used this site http://www.diyaudioandvideo.com/Calculator/XOver/ in order to determine what capacitor i would need for the tweeter. Thanks.

Thanks for all the input guys. I have an idea of what I can do if dc audio helps me out. Jeff I saw that grill before but it's very similar to the JL grill and I fel that it would leave too much space open for things to damage the woofer. I will pm you about my idea later soi can get your opinion and work something out.

hey guys.. i got my lvl4 about two weeks ago or so and i love it.. and ill try to get some pics up of it later.. this thing hits hard.. but i want to protect it from flying objects in the trunk of my car.. i have everything strapped in, but just in case, better to be safe than sorry right? anyway i was looking for some speaker grills or covers for it and i cant find anything that would allow full excursion of the sub except for the jl speaker grill.. i personally dont like it.. anyone know where i can get a good speaker grill? something that still shows the dc dustcap?

Loll that's what I thought.. It seems like it would just suck up the paint.. Where did you get the mdf with laminate? Somewhere like lowes or home depot?
