  1. Thanks guys. More tonight I should start glassing and hopefully get it playing. I actually got that idea from another build on here haha It's good, but a hand stapler makes for a mess no matter how you do it.
  2. Alright some more pics! didn't get near as much done as I wanted, the weather made it take forever. Started glassing. Started with just a layer of resin: Then went to the inside for some wiring: Terminals are all soldered! it was a pain to solder them inside the cab with a torch. Grounded. Fused D-Block wired for now. Almost all wiring complete: and finally laying some glass down First layer not the best looking, but all in time Stayed tuned for more updates, i'm trying to get it done as fast as i can, i'm ready for some bass!
  3. Floor completed: I had originally planned on keeping a middle seat: Speaker rings cut: I could find a proper bit and didn't make the rings big enough, so I only got a small rabbet, maybe it'll help lol: Back to the floor, a spacer to make it set level, use the stock battery as a weight! Bottom and two sides of the sub box cut and layed in, now were starting to see it! More cutting: Box assembled for the first time: A proper rabbet: Speaker ring set: The purple line is where I had to cut to make a better shape: Fleeced: These are for 15's, I know its not a lot of airspace (it will be sealed) but the subs will be inverted and foam added. The subs are Audiobahn AW1571T. This is a temp system until I can afford some real gear. Though I have been impressed with them as far as performance to cost ratio. Here's an example of how they will look inverted: Both Fleeced: and all set in, with some wiring holes drilled and amps placed: Thats all for now, i'm beat and gonna get some sleep soon, more when I get off work tomorrow!
  4. Soo many good build threads going on, I hope to add to it. On to the pics: My truck, just picked it up with 123,000 miles on it. It came with a cheap Head Unit(will be changing) and 4 JL Audio speakers, they sound plenty good enough for now.: Along with my KnuKonceptz order: Starting under the hood: Had to get a last minute yellow top because my stock took a crap during the install! 0 Gauge with a 250 Amp fuse. Running under the truck. And finally into the cab. Cab stripped with power, rca's and remote wires ran. Alpine HU going in (CDE-121) Start of the false floor: It started to get dark at this point, but I have a level false floor in: A better shot of the floor, and putting a riser in the middle.
  5. You mean like it sounds like it coming from one spot? maybe your crossover is too high. just a thought.
  6. Looks awesome man. I'm actually the "technical Director" for a small tv station where I live, I work with a lot of the same stuff. (not nearly as nice though haha)
  7. I loved it though, so that kinda sucks. I had big plans for it. Looks like you have a nice one, you running anything in it??
  8. To start off I have had the 02 dodge durango in my avatar for like 3 months (165K miles) and bought it for around 3000 at a used car dealership. Then about a week ago an idiot ran a red light in front of me and got my front end making the car unable to drive.. Short story is the insurance just offered me 5,500+ on it!!! Im stoked! haha new ride and build time.. Looking for maybe a dodge dokata/ram or an f150 first.
  9. I have the guide and its a helpful book, i've read it, but never took the test. Its not stuff that you couldn't learn elsewhere and through a little experience. I think it would mostly help to have some credentials to back your word up. (and at best buy, like Ray said).
  10. Now that I think about it does, probably done just as badly too. and yes, 2 15 audiobahns (I know yall hate, but they do me well) on about 800 watts, but I wrecked it (bastard ran a red light in front of me) and will be doing a lot of upgrading when it gets fixed, hopefully within the week, so no pics for now.
  11. You do some of the best work i've seen! diggin' the monitor, even though I suppose its not to usefull there ha
  12. If your HU has two harness (one for power and one for speakers) you can just unplug it there.
  13. I got my license at 17 and got this truck, nothing special, but it got me around for a while. There are basically no build pics, I basically didn't know what I was doing, and was learning as I went. Equipment/mods: like I said, didn't know what I was doin'/brands that were good. Not that I had the money for good stuff anyway lol 140 HO alt blue interior LED's 2x 7in Monitors rear aux input PS2 15" Audiobahn 800 watt Magna Audio amp 2x 6 1/2 kenwoods 2x 5 1/4 pioneers 400 watt BOSS amp (haha) Rear veiw cam (when one monitor was up front) 1000 Watt power inverter and some pics: Before rear seats where taken out (still usefull though) Both screens, PS2 on 1 and DVD on the other: Amp Rack: This was all about a year ago when I just started getting into this kind of thing. Hope you like (I no longer have the vehicle)
