  1. Hello ! I'd like to know what is this surround (left one) : The left one is DC level 4 m2 12", and the right one is DC level 2 m2 12"
  2. Hello, What are the recommended volume for single 15" level 4 m2 upgraded with XL soft-parts? The amplifier is DC 2.0k.
  3. Shit tends to break when you put 7500w to one sub that was never meant to be built as a 12.
  4. Looks damn good ! Is it 9.0K ? Did you test them yet ?
  5. I'm sorry, he has 1 D3100. Its a big mistake in a place that 1 battery costs almost like a full month salary.
  6. Thank you very much for you opinion, I ask in order to leave less for luck and guessing and be more sure about what I consult him. I'd like to hear more opinions with this power and volumes.
  7. I can't understand how 1 woofer will gain 6DB over 2 very efficient woofers with much more cone area, in the same car, same power, same volume and tipe of box.
  8. Hello all, We did some testing several weeks ago and although it's not much, the loudest cat that was measured was DC Audio based. The testing were with TL, sensor was sealed on dash with the passenger window open. The loudest car hit 145.3 on music: 2 DC Level 3's with level 4 soft parts. 1 DC 5.0K, gain were shut down all the way, i think someone clamped it for 3000RMS. 3 XS Power batteries, 1 D3400 + 2 D3100. Stock alternator (about 100A). Here is a video on music: He overcame 2 GZNW 15's and 18" PSI. It's pretty hard to get HO alternator in Israel, but I'm sure we'll manage to get some.
  9. He did 142 sealed on dash with the 15's, and want to move up.
  10. I don't know if 2 XL's is in his budget, maybe 1 But just for knowing- would 2 XL's on about 800-850 watts each, give a loud result as 2 level 3 that would be better used? would XL even move on 800watts? Here is a pic of his hx380D's:
  11. Hello, My friend has 2 15" Hertz HX380D, which are rated 600RMS each and the manufacturer recommends small box for them (2 cubic feet each when ported). He has a 4 cuft box with 2 6" ports tuned to about 34. He doesn't like their sound and way of playing abd he wants to move to DC woofers. considering he has 4 cuft and another 1 for ports- which woorer/s would give him the best result ? He tends to go with 2 level 2 15's, But I don't know if the volume is enough, although he has more than rated power. I recommended him to go with 2 level 3 12's so he will benefit both eficcient box and full using of power, and also he will be able to upgrade amp in the future. What do you say would be the loudest setup with DC's equipment ? Thanks !
  12. My seats won't fall down, but I'm working on changing it what if I'll make a box which will be in the trunk but the subwoofers and port would be firing into the rear seats area, and there would be a fully separation between the trunk and car?
  13. If upgrading is not in your mind- 2 level 2 12's would be louder as there is more cone area on the same power and you won't need to push them too hard.
  14. Hello ! I have 2005 subaru impreza, it's sedan, and every subwoofer I put in the trunk sounds few DB less loud than Hatchback or SUV. Putting the enclosure on the rear seats doesn't make it powerfull as it can be. someone told me about sealing the wall between the trunk and the rear seats. Is that right ? Is there a way to make the bass be as loud as the potencial fot the products? Thanks !
  15. Is 1.8 enough to maximize the loudness with 300 RMS ?
  16. I see many people that run the lvl 5 m1 on much more than rated power. Does running the m2 12" on 3.5K is a good idea?
  17. Hello ! What is the recommended volume for ported enclosure for DC level 2 12" running on Celestra FA475X (300RMS when bridged @ 4 ohm) ? Thanks !
  18. Tanks for the replies. I didn't understand yet if 1 cu.ft. includes the port volume or not. And one more thing: when trying to calculate the port specs with WinISD or Bass Box 6 Pro, when tuning low and keeping the port area above 13-14 in^2, I get a very long port considering the box dimensions. It also happened with the box I tried to calculate for my 15" XL. Is this normal?
  19. One of my friends had SAZ1500D with 12" Havoc in sealed box. He liked the sound but wanted more power, therefore he bought 2 X12" DC Audio Level 3 m2 with Level 4 soft parts. His amp going to be DC 3.5k. He wants to build a ported box for them. He Has 2 main requests: 1. Be able to play low notes on high volume. Make them noticable 2. Play with accuracy and quallity that wouldn't be a major decrease comparing to the sealed box he had. Stay musical. I thought about tuning it to 30-32HZ with port area of 12-14 sqare inches per 1 cubic feet, but I might be in wrong directions. Any thoughts ?
  20. Thank you all for your comments, you helped me alot !
  21. I currently have 1 15" and 1 5.0k on their way. I havo no equipment problem. Just space problem. I'm worried of getting down to 12's mostly because of the low notes. Any thoughts ?
