  1. I think (4) 8's are rated 2400wRMS and need 3.0CF while 18" Level 6 is 4500wRMS and 5.5-6 CF box, so you need more 8's in order to have an equal setup to the Level 6.
  2. I think you can't put an XL recone on a Level 3 motor. AS for power handling- I'm not sure if it's the same as Level 4, but I can tell you from my personal epirience that is goes up I can assume that the output wont be the same as level 4.
  3. I think your question should be: Am I going to upgrade my amp to a 3.5-5K ? 2 12's is the most of cone area you could fit, on the BPX I guess it's the hardest you could go, on 3.5K+ amp- you may get some more output out of a system that can handle this power. I have heard both 2 12" level 4's and single 15" Level 5, they both sounds crazy.
  4. I think I would consider a 15" Level 5, as it's pretty efficient, costs no more than 2 4's and would allow you u[grading your amp drastically. But as said- all the options are great, I really like the 15" XL
  5. Is the new baskets going to affect other parameters like cooling, power handling etc ?
  6. Looks great ! Should we expect part changes in other sizes too? is 30-45 days is only for the 18's ?
  7. Hello, A friend of mine has Toyota Prius and he bought 2 DC Level 4's, he's probably change his 2 Hifonics 1600's to a bigger amp/s. Is it possible to change the rear battery to xs power battery, like the D3100? I know there are 2 or 3 different batteries in the prius, would it be needed to use relay ?
  8. I also can say that the level 5 stands out by it's efficiency. swiched level 4 with level 5, same setup, didn't change a thing, gained decent extra DB's
  9. 2 12" level 3 in 2.2 cf box tuned to 32 on DC 3.5K, stock alt, did 145.3 at 50hz.
  10. As said- I'd take the LV5 if you plan some power upgrades. The two lvl3's won't take 5K for example, but the lvl5 with carbon fiber cone- probabli will.
  11. Looks awesome! I wish it was available in other diameters too.
  12. Worried about numbers at "normal" levels?? Then go with a 10k. I have DC 5.0K and I'm pretty damn happy with it. I might have 10K when my car would be able to carry so much weight
  13. DC amps are great and makes more than rated, but note these are more than 12V numbers.
  14. Great install and great video ! Well done ! What is the final net. volume after all displacements? Have you changed the Hifonics or is it still it ?
  15. My 2 cents: The volume needed to single 15" is about as 2 12's, why not considering 4 12"s instead of 3? for example, 4 12" lvl 4's need less volume that 2 15's level 4 or XL's. Also, when comparing subwoofers on the same power, Generally more cone area and more volume would be louder than thess than both, 2 18's in big box would probably be louder than 2 15's in smaller box. Therefore another good idea would be having 2 15's level 5 (which are very efficient/sensitive) or (4) 12's level 4 which would have the nearest cone area to 2 18's and would save much space, so when the time comes and money flowes you can upgrade your amplifier.
  16. Its the software from their website. Didnt find it on the google market/store. Its not really matters, it wont work without the sensor itself.
  17. According to his coils impedance, shouldn't he take 2 amps and strap them? D2 means 1 ohm for every subwoofer, and 2 or 0.5 ohms final
  18. Metering was taken by SPL-LAB Wireless bass meter, as accurate as termlab: http://spllabusa.com/us/index.html
  19. I have used level 2 on many amps it would sound good from 300RMS each till 1200RMS each, they can handle more, we just put one on 1500 and he took it but started getting hot after several minutes. I would stick to CJ18 recommendations. Here's one score of it in 3cf box with single 6" port on 1500w:
  20. With a big box volume- go with the 7.5K, with small one- go with 9/10K I think it's always good thing to have powerful monoblock because you never know when you want some more.
  21. I've put lvl4 m2 on Celestra DA2K which is ratet 2100RMS@ 1 ohm. If your box is correct and your gains are set- you will gain better result on the rf1500.
  22. Have 5K too, great amp! I have 1 D3400 in the front, 2 D3100 in the rear and stock alt (75A, for now) and I can defenately feel a serious difference that the previous 2K.
