why dont the ppl that make half den eq's be 3way compatiable? everyone ive seen from memphis, clarion, pioneer, and so on only have one input and 3 outputs, i dont like the one input cause if u use ur front out to send a highpass signal if u have the hpf set on the headunit ur subs will be crossed over at a higher freq, this i think doesnt make much sence, and like those 30band eq's are neat but not enulf adjustments for each channel imo, ied rather have a good 3way eq/xover that i can put under the seat or back at amps than a half din without that much of a controle feature, i think its a killer idea for lesser headunits but they need to make a 3way version of it so u can adjust and would be sick if they made a half din that had atleast 2 in 3 out and a seperate eq for front and rear kinda like my headunit has built in would be sick with its own cross over slope knob so u can set it at like -12,-6,passave slopes would be sick, but anyways rosco had it dead on with the pic but im lookin into one myself and that exact one i was lookin into, but imo its prolly better for a mids n highs eq than sub if ur headunits output has a sub i wouldn't run it for subs cause it wouldn't make much a diff than rase the rca output voltage that i kno of

i got a set of ks 6&1/2 componits in the front and a set of ks 6&1/2 coax in the back ran off a memphis pr 150.2 and its loud as hell and no probs, but do u play bass threw ur mids? i dont i use midbass (mtx6000 8's) but anyways its prolly how u got the amp tuned cause those comps should take more power than that amp puts out rms@4ohm prolly is around 60@4ohm, ied get another amp but make it 2 channel so when u wire ur comps and rear speakers it will drop to a 2ohm load and run more power, cause ur only runnin that amp at 4ohm each channel and hardly gettin any power from it will make a diff thats why i went with a 2ch for my mids n highs, i think my amp is turned up 1/4 the way and its loud as hell and still clean soundin, but its more efficent to run a 2ch amp @ 2ohm than a 4ch at 4ohm each channel so ur basicly not gettin teh full wattage that amp will do, this is the amp i got for mine http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=2431 and its got more than plenty watts than i need and its still a clean signal to, i unno but that might be it and a second battery will help to but thats my .02

lol 25w rms ftmfw! why do amps like that do output like that? like that ma 802 i think does 75wrms @ 2ohm 14.4 and 4400wrms @ 17v? i dont see why they put it that low? and not to go off topic but most amps do better at 17v but how do u get that with a 16v batt or does it go from 16-17v? anyways sounds loud as hell, would be kewl if u had a 300amp 16v alt and run dual alts(factory) on 2 or 3 of those 16v batts and really see what that t4 will do @ 16-17v but just my .02 anyways sounds really good and do those t4s need alot of power to get loud i was wantin to do 2 of those with a kicker 1500.1 or somethin but i like my setup but my buddy had 2 t4 12's off a 800w amp n it was slammin, anyways keep up the good numbers

my truck is a 99 so should work right but will it fit a 1'' tweet? ied try that sometime this weekend? and that would be easyer to do also but will a 1'' tweet fit that without lookin messed up? he said he used 3/4'' fanik q tweets and i got 1'' kicer tweets how much room is in that space?

ied do a good headunit n then a good set of comp speakers with a lil amp around 300w or so to run em and then go to subs from there thats what i did, some mids n highs have decent bass by them selfs, ied try that

well it was my first comp set tho and i didn't kno were to put em so i layed em in the bottom of the door and it was like that till today but they still work fine tho but now i regret doin it in the first place lol

water leaks down behind window seal thats were it came from, if u dotn keep the holes in the bottom of the door clean the bottom of door will rust off, i didn't think about this till now

please dont put the componit cross overs in the door make sure its out of the door somewere inside of the cabbin, i made that mistake sometime last year and today was pittleing with my truck and took my door pannels off to look at em and the screws was rusted shut and the xovers was full of water so i took em out, cleaned em up nice n mounted em onto my kick pannels and thats were they will stay, but to anyone doin comp speakers its easyer to just pop out the grommet in the door jam and run speaker wire threw it ina straight shot than runnin one wire to xover n then to speakers, and they acually look good mounted to kick pannels tho, but u can put double stick tape behind em and put em under carpet will be fine up under dash will work to if u dotn want em in plane view, hope this helps ppl on down the road, just made this thread so ppl might learn from my mistake lol

it looks like a beefed up 350z with quad brake lights to me but i like the jap version better of a more suttle square style car than the rounded body style of the 350z tho i mean i like the 350 but they could of done a lil more work on it tho imo

how do you do this, like take some masking tape and layer it then spray with a mold releace then resen n then mat, then resen n mat? then take it off n mold to that? i wanna angle it around 15degrees tho i was thinkin of puttin a henge behind it so i can move it were i need to and glue it there so when i mold it will be that way all the time? im kinda new to fiberglass tho but if someone could help with pics or somethin on how to do this exactly would help a whole lot tho, and thanks for the input

ummm, behind the sail pannel is about 1/4'' or less space cause theres a plastic clip that holds it in like a lil L bracket and i was thinkin sence i can take the tweet out of that houseing im not really lookin into cuttin the sail pannel cause i dunno if i can get some again to replace it if i screw up, but um, i was thinkin bout just scuffin it up a lil so ca will stick and angle the tweet pod thing its in and try to make it stay with prolly tooth pics or pop cicle sticks and then mold it that away? i was wantin to fiberglass it so it would flow better but u think the duramix or duraglass would mold it better and be easyer to sand? im lookin at the cheapest way out but still do a good job at it, and does anyone kno were i can pick up a set of sail pannels if i do happen to mess these ones up i can start over? and x2 on fiberglassin cause i dont kno how to ca glue the fabric to the pannel so when i glass it wont come loose, ima prolly finish my pods on my geo doors i got kinda a hang of it now tho but dont rly have it down to a science yet but if i could find some how to pics or somethin step by step i could prolly coppy it exactly i asked my buddy from nu image about him fiberglassin em but he said tehy dont fiberglass much anymore hardly any, but i'll try it soon tho and hope it comes out ok

i need some help with my sail pannels kicker sent me a set of plastic pieces but none angle em correctly so i was thinkin could i take the piece the tweet goes in and angle it and glue it there, cover it with fleace or somethin strechy and resen it, then put some mat on it, then resen n let set, n then resen some more n mat, n once its nice n sturdy bondo it and sand untill smooth then paint black and done? i dont like how they are now here is a pic (and would a black tecture paint match factory good?) will that work? i dont want to fuk it up i want it to look good but well u kno, im good with stuff but ied like some help with how to do it the right way first then like some ppl do reach over the sholder to scratch there ass lol, does anyone have pics on how to do said project and should i scuff the pannel befor i resen? or glue? i got tools n what knot to do work with just need help on how to do this perfect or atleast look good and angel em right or on another note u think i could put a little hinge on the back side of it to angle it so i can get it right and leave it there for added stability? im kinda smart when it comes to stuff but if someone shows me how to do somethin i can pritty much coppy it close to orignal, need help asap so i can try this tommrow, thankx for readin the post and plz help im still a learnin noobish hoppyiest lol like they say no one can know everything

u ever tryed a downfire box? screw some boards to the sides of that box n flip it upside down but make it atleast 3'' off the floor and see if that makes a diff, my truck got alot louder with a downfire than a upfire box and still sounds clean as hell and hits lows really well and its sealed to so maby a downfire ported would fuckin wang, its worth the shot?
