  8. Great Answer Pics would help alot. To answer your question, I would really need to see what you want done and to what parts.
  9. Nice doors. I know I said it before on that other forum, but they are good enough to say it again. Now get back to work.
  10. Do yourself a favor and lose that phone number. And as just mentioned, pretty sure the engine crossmember is what holds the cars up. If you and your buddy can do some fab work, you can make a newer, lower profile crossmember. Also, you may have to look into different wheels. The offset/width may not allow for proper laying. So you have decisions, there is no perfect answer here. Time and fab work. Money and wheels. AC or windows.
  11. I NEED the money in my paypal account for the repair bill before the 28th. So I am dropping the fees and shipping. $350 shipped.
  12. Gotta fix the truck and I hate to do this but the D3 is for sale. No nav disc and the installation & operation books I printed off the internets due to them being lost. 15. You couldn't be more wrong with that assesment. Just to save some time, I will quote myself from another thread.........
  16. Well there are 2 good testaments to the panle bonding method. Never tested it myself. Never had to with the welder assortment at the shop. Good luck on your shaving adventures. Post pics for us when you start.
  17. Cut a nice straight line and save the peice and you can attach it back and make it look factory good enough to turn back in most likely.
  18. You weld in a peice of sheet metal trimmed to fit the spot where the handle was after you remove it all. 3M does make a panel bond for use in place of welding in certain situations, but welding is better. I have seen the 3M used for this before, and it was holding up but it had only been a few months and I do not know how they are now. The door gets alot of use and bumping into. So you need it to be solid so it doesn't crack or show thru. If welded correctly, you use little body filler to level it out. As for 'glassing it over.....negative. See above for reasoning. The fiberglass will adhear to the metal for a short time, then it will eventually give and start cracking. For the paint fix....... that depends on the paint that is currently there. Most paints can be feathered in. I would recommend clearing the whole door though.
  19. Congrats. Not only was your truck loud, it sounded good doing it also. And once things got going, it was pretty good. I felt the advertising for the show was lacking or we could have had many more sign up. There were alot of vehicles riding around playing that didn't sign up. But it wasn't bad.
