  1. The two lowes around here do not stock 2' x 4' MDF...they cary a bunch of ply and hardboard cut to that spec though. Our Home Depot and Mendards, however, carry 2' x 4' MDF.
  2. Are these internal or external measurements? 17 X 24 X 36
  3. Thanks Joe. I really enjoy using sketchup and am slowly getting more proficient with it.
  4. double check all measurements before cutting.
  5. I agree, sounds like something on the speaker itself is coming loose. Reminds me a lot of tinsel slap that you used to hear a lot in the days before they tinsels were sown into the spider. Taking it out and play some tones to help isolate it rather then music, but like Autruche said, be careful as it is fairly easy to over drive a speaker like that.
  6. If I remember correctly if you ran the port until it touched the back of the enclosure it would drop the tuning less then 1Hz, but if someone could double check that it would be much appreciated.
  7. like this: http://www.subwoofer-builder.com/flares-35mm.htm http://www.speakerbuilder.net/web_files/Articles/porttut/porttut.htm
  8. Yup, all displacement needs to be taken into account.
  9. based my port cut out on dimensions listed here: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=268-352 based my tuning using PSP's own calculator here: http://www.psp-inc.com/tools.html I do not know the motor diameter so I simply based the depth using the entire diameter of the cutout to insure they would actually fit. 1.8 cubic feet after all displacement is taken into account tuning is right around 37/38 HZ please double check all math to insure i didn't miss something
  10. 1 millimeter = 0.0393700787 inches so... 276 millimeters = 10.8661417 inches
  11. Not if you only have 10" of external width, that would give you 8.5" internal if you are using .75" MDF. sorry i was being rude yesterday took my life problems on everything make the box 11.5 adding the mdf on the sides the face board will be 10" tho Not a problem man. If someone dosnt get to it by tonight ill take a crack at it. using a 4 inch aero port?
  12. I agree, I would shoot for around 24 sq inches of port to avoid any port noise.
  13. How is this wrong? You listed 10 inches of room between your seats leaving you with 8.5 inches internal width using 3/4 inch MDF.
  14. 8.5 inches of internal width isnt large enough to mount the drivers
