  1. Which subs would you prefer to have for daily driving and for SPL? Right now I have the chance to either get four 18" MTs (slightly used) or two brand new 18" Solo Xs. This is going to be a loud daily driver that I will compete with (locally) too. MT- Cost more, used, looks better, sounds better Solo X- Cost less, new, less subs, uglier, better for SPL
  2. Im talking about the weather stripping
  3. Lots of people told me that wasn't a good spot to ground. Only my cousin and a few other people thought it was. That was your ground for your amps right? What was that ground there for? I see it grounded then running to a distro block.
  4. I could have done this: Should I do it when I do my next install or will removing the dynamat leave behind a mess?
  5. OMG You know what I just realized?! > You know where you mounted the distro blocks in that Navigator (where the tools to take out the spair were)? Well when I first got into audio and system my cousin did my first install and that's where he grounded my ground for the amp. Then I had a problem one day (blown fuse) and didn't know what it was so I took it to my friend and told me I couldn't mount no ground there because this metal is plastic. To me it felt like metal (pos metal but still metal). Ever since then I have had all my grounds and distro blocks where every body can see them and I dont like that > It looks ugly...and look what I did to that space!
  6. At 2,000rms these subs could go all day correct? What about 2,500rms?
  7. Did you put it to be in between the plexiglass or it serves for another purpose?
  8. Another question... Did you put the leather on the box or you had some guy do it for you?
  9. shit feel free to take the rains man.....your advice is gold here. E: Have you seen the build threads of the Navi as they happened? I think i showed how to make the "frame" for the plexi. If not ill dig it up and link you up to it. LOl well after two hours of reading and admiring the pics (again) I went through all 19 pages on the Navi build up. OK so pretty much you used 1" thick plexi, it cost you $85 for about the same size I need (navi & expedition, same exact thing). All you did was predrilled some holes screwed it down, then layed another layer of wood and fiberglassed it to the rest of the box, correct?
  10. Where do you guys order your plexiglass from? I haven't been able to find any 3/4" Plexi...Every thing I find is 1/8"...Help ??? Also what a good way to mount plexiglass onto MDF? For example Steve, Im pretty much trying to get an idea to do what you did with that Navigator (wrote navigator) with plexi. How did you manage to mount it and hold perfectly? I have heard from many people that plexi doesn't "bond" onto wood. That it is very tricky to work with.
  11. This is new to me...Never heard of MTs having this problem
  12. Kinda old but as far as I know they haven't caught no one yet... Better news!- He's a little more than 60% done rebuilding in though
  13. My favorite video is Testimonials. Just don't like the ending because you can't really see the person react because it's too dark. Love the beginning! LMAO "i dont know know nothin about that!!!....ahahahahahahahahahahahahaha............DAAAAMMNNNNN!!"
  14. Also how the hell does your rear view mirror stay on??!! Mine vibrated off with about 3,000rms!
  15. Ah ok, they are also hidden up against the middle row seating. Lucky, you have a normal 3rd row. My Expedition is split bench seating 2 front seats 2 midde row seats 3 third row seating
  16. In the tahoe where are your amps mounted. I saw the pics of when you had the 8 1500.1s but do the four new amps fit good behind your second row seating? Most people make a wall and mount the amps behind the box but you have a rare setup.
  17. I know nothing about them...yet
  18. Looking for some 18" MTs, new or used. Must be in good condition though. Im looking for more than one
