  1. Oh I knew that but just saying that with my old box it was peaking at 43hz and with this one its peaking at 50hz so I dont think the box is right. I would like to build a box with interchangable ports so I can have a port for daily and a port strictly for spl. Anybody got any ideas on how I could do this.
  2. Yeah I might just have to try my luck at doing another box but this time changing up the port somehow. Its "supposed" to be tuned around 40-42hz but I dont think it is. It just doesnt sound like its tuned to that. And the truck peaked at 50hz on the meter so I know its not right.
  3. i know mine can do better but i only have 1 1/2 months till the big show and i wanna be ready and right
  4. i might try them tomorrow and see if it helps but all i know is i hate going down the road making people look and then having to turn it down because i can smell them
  5. it was either the -10db or -15db track. i did it just like steve showed it in the video using the dd-1 with a line driver so i think it was -15db. funny thing is i metered today with an audiocontrol meter and i know their a little off of a term lab but i did a 142.6db @ 50hz sealed on the dash and i knew something didnt seem right. but i felt a little better when we metered a dakota with 4 audiopipe 15s in a wall thats a sealed box on a 3000watt amp and he did a 139db @ 45hz sealed on dash.
  6. i had a buddy who has been building great systems for many years help me build a box for my 15s. and this is what he came up with. port is 6in wide and 18.5in tall. the box is already built and playing in my truck and this is using exact measurements on sketchup. I just thought that if you split the port than each side would be half the total at the exit. also another thing is i think the port is too big because if i jam on it for a few min i can start to smell them and they get warm. i am 100% sure its not clipping ( dd-1 says so ) im just trying to figure out if 3rd times the charm cause this is my second box that does less than expected.
  7. Im going to just sell the atomic and get another RD just to be safe
  8. Has anybody ever linked to amps that were as close to each other as mine
  9. heres the subs these are the amps im wanting to link atomic 1600.1 RD 1750.1 and im wanting to do them something like this
  10. Ive got an rd 1750, and an atomic 1600 that I want to link together. They dont have the master/slave switch, but they both have a bridged in and out and ive seen it done that way before. The amps are basically the same amp just different cases. How would I go about doing this?
  11. Im just trying to figure out if its the same as my atomic 1600.1 or a little better. The atomic says 1650 @ 1ohm and the rd with 1750 @ 1ohm. But im more concerned with true power.
  12. I did a search and a guy on another forum said his did around or over 2000w at 13v
  13. has anyone ever clamp tested one of these? id like to know about what it puts out for real
  14. dont mind the port on this one, youd have to change the port design but heres a way you can do a box
  15. I just punched in some numbers I had for my truck and if your box goes all the way to the floor up to back window you can have a good bit of space. Torres cant factor in the trans hump or the "step up" in the rear of our trucks, but I did 31"tall, 59" long, and 22"deep ( can go bigger if you like just where I like to keep my seat) and got 20.12cubes. So there is space just have to squeeze it.
  16. i started a design for my 02 silverado ext cab and the box was gonna be raised off the floor a good bit 59" wide 24" tall and 22" deep and it was over 15 cubes. So if you didnt have batts to go over you could get more space no problem
  17. I just figured the flat would be easier to run under my carpet and from what i heard its still easy to put it in round terminals. And to me it looks cleaner than having round 0 gauge
  18. this stuff http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_39410_Xscorpion-PRE-FP050BL-BLUE-20FT.html
  19. Is the xscorpian flat 1/0 any good? It says it true rated and ofc. Just need to know before I buy.
