I'm looking to repalce my stock headunit in my '05 GTO and looking for a double din to put in. All I really need is an Ipod hookup, and maybe an SD card slot might be nice. I don't need NAV or backup camera or nothing like that. Just to play my Ipod. I looked at single dins but (to me) it doesn't fit the flow of the dash than a double din does. I have been looking and it seems like there are soo many to choose from. and also I'm kinda on a budget so really anything under $350 is good for me links would help me out a bunch too thanks

yes the whold build was a lot of money..payed too much for whats it puttin out IMO..not my money tho thread was started to see what the opinions were about the system before purchasing it and since then has been purchased and installed. posted a vid up to see how it is..the thread is basically done lol

thanks for the comments guys the JL w7s they sent were two different ones..one that was shown in the box was just a regular W7 while the other one was an anniversary edition one. We put that one in and to my ears it seemed louder. Does anyone know if there's a difference between the two? thanks

a good aftermarket heads, cam, intake, headers and tune could put you at 430hp at the wheels maybe even more if you wanna supercharge the numbers would be even more, but more expensive as always. since its got kinda high miles I would rebuild the engine with forged internals so they work well with the supercharger. supercharging stock internals could hurt it badly..especially on a somewhat high mile LS engine

well here is it. it was like hell getting the box into the trunk..not even an inch left of clearance with it in..still have another W7 and JL 1000w sittin in the garage..decided to run a 500 so it doesn't take too much power for those who wanna see what it does

alright just wanting your guys' opinion on this system and if you have any suggestions? 2 JL w7 10 in a sealed box powered by JL 1000w optima yellow top battery so what cha think of this? thanks

I'd save the money and buy something else lol your not going to get much out of that 1.8 but if you wanted still you could do just basic bolt ons like the ones you already stated and see where your at after that CAI are usually hits or miss

hard choice...I would probably go for turbo tho wouldn't run more than 9 pounds of boost tho...the 4.6 will prob take a shit on you..and no warranty both choices would make it a killer ride
