  1. I have done it on my 99 blazer and it works good i didnt fuse anything but the power wire to my amps just ground it to the engine block the one to the frame
  2. i know distro blocks exist ive had them in previous installs. and u got to use butt connectors for direct leads to had wire to it. and im probably gonna get the soundstream rubicon 1600d. my subs are only 350 rms each and i got 4 of em
  3. my subs have direct 10gauge leads
  4. i might just have to get those reducers but i hope the fit next to each other, also my main thing is that the amp needs to have 10guage speaker outputs. i might end up getting the tx1.2000d 0r maybe a smaller one. and if i do get reducers from 0gauge to 4 it wont make the amp get hot will it?
  5. i gotta stick to 1500 - 2000w rms with the subs i got. does anyone know if the mb quart onx 1500.d is any good and does it take 0 gauge. ive read somewhere that it does then other places say 2 gauge
  6. every box ive made has been between 32-36 and ive been real pleased with them
  7. ive owned a brz2100 and i didnt care for it to much but im going to go with the db drive amp
  8. i only got a 160amp alternator and 950 amp yellow top optima atm.
  9. that would be cutting down the power tho
  10. they dont make 0 guage splitters
  11. i only have one run of 0 guage i wouldnt be able to power that one
  12. i found a db drive 1600w amp that takes 0 guage but im not to certain on db
  13. yea my depth would have to be 28 to be 4.5 inches away from the door
  14. that would be tuned at 36hz. If i extend the depth of the port 2 inches itd be 35hz
  15. yea but i dont like the fact that the metal they used is exposed and right next to each other
  16. I just needed some help on getting an amp. I orginally was going to get the tx1.2000d but I read on and it said it could only take in 4 gauge power and ground. But I got 0 gauge ran through my car. and I was wondering if anyone knew if there was any 2000w rms amps that take 0 guage power and ground. And I am kinda of on budget atm do to school I only got about 300 to spend. it will be running 4 dd512s.
  17. i want to stick to slot port and have the port facing the back. i could have the 25 inches in hieght and 28 inches deep and i can squeeze and inch or too on the width but no more 38 on the width
  18. im thinking im gonna sacrfice the hieght and go with 25 inches ive modifyed both desgins
  19. i already did your said you were working on a desgin and that you would show me later.i like that idea my main concern is that the box would be right up against my back door at 32 inches in depth. should i go with 30 inches instead or even 28
  20. im really liking that 15 design. I would like to stick with a slot port and stich with 20 inches on highet
  21. I had the brz1700 and it worked out awsome. even try looking at soundstream.
  22. its only the 500 series they were on sale at my local shop for 90 bucks . i really havent decided on an amp yet but it wont be more than 4k. the hieght of im not to worried about long as i can see out my back window so probably between 15 - 20 inches and the width i know for a fact it 36 inches probably should go with 35 to be on the safe side and the length would only be 32 inches since i want to keep my back seats up
  23. I got 4 dd 12s and im need help with a box design. Ive got a 99 blazer and I only got about 36 inches wide to work with due to the rear tire well. but I want to have enough room to leave my back seats up. I got some ideas but I would like other peoples ideas to. I can get exact messurements if needed. And also include like subs faceing up and port firing tword the back and stuff like that. Im not looking to go to competitions or anything just mainly every day listening but I want it to be loud. I was thinking tuning it between 32 - 35hz. Im open to any and all ideas at this point.
