  1. winisd and bbp dont take into account vehicle response, so their graphs are completely irrelevant unless you put a mic in your car and measured sweeps. looks good man. i dont know why everyone is telling you to put 100sqin of port per cube. its a 500 watt sub for god sakes. Bass Box Pro allows you to load Car/Room dynamics which emulate each environment.. If nothing more these tools facilitate a great way to determine group delay and cone excursion at certain freqs given an enclosure net internal volume.
  2. That program is step 2 in the design process. Step 1 is using a WinISD, BassBox Pro, etc mocking up a decent response.
  3. The Phantom series by American Bass uses the Sound Magus board/internals which is the same guts as what Massive Audio Nano series uses. AB PH2500 = Massive Audio N3 AB PH4000 = Massive Audio N4 On a positive note, the AB variant seems to be obtainable for a cheaper price then their Massive Audio counterpart. The PH4000 has been compared against the AQ2200 and said to be "louder" here --> http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/119726-american-bass-phantom-series-amps/page__view__findpost__p__1686307 Here is a formal review by PASMAG on it's little brother (PH2500) http://www.pasmag.com/car-audio/reports/1796-test-report-american-bass-ph-2500-md I've compiled all of this information because I'm researching new amps too and had this amp on my shortlist.
  4. So we're saying that fiberglass is stronger then MDF? If this is a concern why not built it out of birch? More internal bracing?
