i have a 2002 silverado, i was going to run them straight through the middle. My roof is quite flimsy. I have two alpine type-r's downfiring in a custom built center console from my dash to my back wall on a hifonics 1k rms amp. And they make it shake.

Do you think putting 4 8" speakers in a downfiring pod mounted to the roof of my truck would work? The speakers weigh 8lbs Each.
