  1. I guessed 4128 on page 6. And mike got 4022 on page 1 u guess 4128 after the time mike is the closest If it is a problem, I'd be more than happy with some stickers. I'd be willing to forfeit the hat to Kingcuong5o4. I don't wear hats. A coupon code for The Chicken Hill Prodject would be pretty sweet since I was thinking of buying it soon. Just some options. I'm also fine if I don't win. Win some, lose some. There isn't a point to make a big deal out of it for me.
  2. The DD-1 is a well engineered piece of test equipment. If used the way Tony and Steve have described in their tutorial videos, you are not going to damage your amp. However, you cannot take the instructions from a single example video and use that procedure for every possible install. For example: A head unit line output of 2V running into an amp with a max line input of 5V will work and is idiot proof. However if you have an active EQ or line driver that can output 8 or 10V, the amp inputs can't handle that high of a line level voltage, so you need to set the line output differently. In this case, you need to set the EQ/line driver using the "through the amp method". Steve has shown this in a couple of videos. This will set the output of the EQ/line driver to the maximum safe input to the amp. Then once this is done you adjust the amp gains. If you don't do this you can feed to much line signal voltage into your amp. This could damage the amp inputs as well as make it impossible to obtain an undistorted signal at the amp outputs no matter what the gains are set at. The DD-1 is not at fault for someone not understanding their equipment and how to use the tools correctly for their install.
  3. Ants can go fuck themselves! I'll put my size 13 right up that ant's ass. Sub'ed commented sub'ed the shout out. Cool. Fuckin ants piss me off.
  4. I'm not promoting this or associated in any way. I found this a while back and figured I'd pass on the info. I don't know anything about it. Seems like it might be worth the $350 if it is as good as it claims. http://www.linearx.com/products/microphones/m52/M52_1.htm Says it will go up to 170dB SPL and is made for recording high power car stereo systems.
  5. Stardock is bad ass! Fences should have been part of Windows all along. Friggin awesome! Windows looks so nice with all the icons put into their own area. Object Dock took a little getting used to but I like it. The Acoustic Bridge is kinda odd. Can't see the need. Here is a list of software that I find pretty darn handy. Just throwing it out there in case someone finds some of it useful. Audacity, SketchUp 8, Revo Uninstaller, CCleaner, BullZip PDF Printer Driver, Color Wheel Pro, Desktop Restore, Open Office, Peer Block, Video LAN VLC, WinFF, WinZip.
  6. Nice clean build Steve. I've been in IT since 1986. My first PC was a 286 12MHz with 1MB of RAM, 65MB RLL Seagate HDD, 13" amber monochrome monitor and DOS 3.21 and Windows 2.11. People said "What the hell am I going to do with all that power? lol I've built thousands of computers over the years and people keep asking that same question. Still amazes me how good the hardware is these days, quality and performance wise. But it has never been "easy" but it's a real pleasure to build PCs now. As with anything made with care, it takes time to do it right. Chicken is going to get a great system. I dig the blue lights thing too. Classy. I don't see anything I would have done differently. Windows should install pretty fast. Updates kinda suck sometimes. Cheers.
  7. I think you read something into my post that I didn't mean. I don't know how to deal with haters and I wasn't claiming I did. I just was talking about what helped me and some people I love. I wasn't telling you what to do or anything. Just sharing some personal stuff in case it might help. I certainly understand the annoying infomercial stuff. It isn't about TR. It is about each of us finding our own way and what works for us. That's it. Didn't mean to hit a sore spot Steve. I was trying to help by sharing with you something that worked for me. It was really nothing more than that. I don't know you personally. I have no way of knowing if what I know might help. So I threw it on the table. I was only trying to be supportive and encouraging and maybe offer some hope. If what worked for me won't work for you, that's fine too. Much respect Steve. oh dont get me wrong i appreciate it...its just nobody know's how hard SOME of it is to ignore. I am only human. I certainly don't know. You linked to my YT channel back in June or July because of a genuine selfless offer I made to you specifically about some hater. I was amazed at how many comments and emails I got etc 11,000 views is nothing to you but it too me by surprise in a good way. It was a bit overwhelming for a couple of days. I'm not complaining, I just had to take a deep breath. I had a few haters. Like you say take that times 10,000. Holy shit! I couldn't deal with it as well as you. But on the flip side there are people more famous than you that seem to have it worked out for them. I don't know how they do it but some of them are good people and might we willing to share what works for them. Again that might not work for you. It's the only thing I can think of is to ask people that have walked in bigger shoes. Your shoes are definitely a lot bigger than mine. If I had a question or a problem that you might have dealt with, you'd be the person I'd ask. You have a lot of supporters Steve and however you work it out we will continue to support you.

  9. Steve, I'm gonna catch flack from people for posting this but it is meant for those that it can help, not those that look at good things with the eyes of a hater. Many people that become famous bring with them emotional baggage. I'm not saying you have a problem, not at all. I'm just pointing out that some famous people have a hard time dealing with certain aspects of fame. (like how to deal with haters.) Look at the numbers of famous people that resort to drugs or commit suicide. But, some famous people seem to take it all in stride. There is a reason. They have found through a variety of sources how to handle their emotions so negative things don't bother them. Here is what worked for me. Tony Robbins Personal Power II. He covers in detail how to deal with situations where we don't feel the way we want to feel and we don't do what we know we need to do. I was able to erase some past traumas and move forward easily. I started my own IT business etc. It changed my life. Just this last week my daughter thanked me for going through it with her about 7 years ago. She said it changed her life. Every so often someone will have problems and ask my advice. I don't always point them to Tony Robbins. Some people hate him and have told me so. I just ignore them. I know what they are missing from personal experience, they have no idea. He doesn't have all the answers but he tells you how to get them. Sounds like I'm a salesman for TR but I have no interest in that. I just know it works and people that bad mouth him simply don't know what they are talking about and most certainly aren't getting what they want out of life. I know this can help if you put aside any preconceived notions and give it a chance. It certainly can't hurt anything but it can change everything for the better. Mike Whitenton
  10. Steve, there always seems to be a percentage of people that have a knack for get under people's skin. Just keep in mind it is only a percentage. Try not to focus on the numbers of assholes or it will drive you insane. Successful people like yourself come in contact with large numbers of people. Just from sheer odds you are going to get a lot of assholes hovering around you. Try not to focus on them and remember it isn't about them it's about the relationship between you and everyone that isn't them. You inspire so many people and you are making the world a far better place than you found it. Haters will never achieve a fraction of what you are capable of. You are smart, you have good people around you. Shit Steve, you even care about haters. Please don't let a few bad apples spoil what you have and who you are. Mike Whitenton
  11. I love it. XS doesn't make a pumpkin battery box. An lcd screen would be pretty sweet in a pumpkin.
  12. Guess I'd better take down the lightning rod quick charger. Dang. Limiting current is stupid.
  13. I love your eye for detail. The hump is awesome. The sunken accent line is very classy. I am really impressed with the raised & countersunk sub. I need to fix a problem with my sub mount and you've given me another way of thinking about it.
  14. All the best tools are perfect for uses the designer hadn't presupposed. Good Screwdrivers make great pain can openers. Great Pry bars make good hammers. Good Hamers make good nut crackers. You got me what else nut crackers are good for.
  15. Are these volume controls straight through at max so you use the DD-1 with them all the way up and then fine tune by turning the different stages down? Really good idea. Doesn't muck with distortion but give you full control of the mix. I have to do that to mine. I'm screwing with the android's volume too much while driving. the master volume is just that. When it is used with the stock system, it actually has two master volumes since the original still works. But when i go bluetooth directly into the 3sixty, the master volume is the only volume button used. Same for optical and aux (not used at this time). The bluetooth in, off of my ipad, on some "spotify premium" @ 320k, sounds AWESOME. Of course the other ones are to control bass. I fiddle with them while i drive and don't even lift my arm up. Its like ninja-volume I love them in that spot and nothing like drilling more holes in a brand new(ish) ISF
