ive got them in a pretty nice ported box thats tuned right for the subs (my cousin built it and he didnt remember what its tuned to), and they sound decent, and get ok loud, but id like a little more low end. but from what you've said, the qts probably wont effect me too much, so i'll probably end up trying it. edit: if you would, PLEASE draw me up a box plan, ive sat here with paint, sketchup, a ruler, some paper, and a pen and i just cant seem to get it right.

im looking for more of SQL. i want it to sound pretty good, and be able to get decently loud (for 2 low end 10's on 400rms). t-line seems the way to go for me if it will work with my subs.

according to foreverbumpin's tutorial you want a qts of .4 and lower and a qms of 7 or lower, ive got the qms just not the qts. any chances of these sounding good even with the qts of .5? edit: thanks for that^ so i think ive got the space to do it in, just wanna make sure this will work well and sound good before i waste time/money. if the SQ will be somewhere close to the SQ/response to a sealed enclosure, then i'll be happy.

what is this W-BB you speak of? lol i cant remember which model they are, but we have a few pairs of some AKG's in the studio, the ones with like 5 drivers per side or some shit, they sound good just dont pull enough power to get loud enough (we got plenty of power too them too, big ass JBL amp running the headphones). edit: those def. arent built for rap/hip hop, few big basslines hit them things when theyre cranked and some confetti be flyin out of 'em lol

ill take that $100 challenge lol. 128 is the lowest i would ever use. i always rip my cds at 256 or better. all that downloadin shit off of limewire or w/e else people use is terrible quality. in our recording studio we have an extremely acoustically correct room, with amazing speakers driven off of amazing amplifiers, and we were listening to a few different cd's the other night looking for ideas and we came across a few (store bought) cd's that sounded like low bitrate mp3's. i was amazed that someone would put something like that out to sell.

hey steve, i was looking at the underside of your seats and the floor under them. did you put a piece of MDF down on the floor as an amp rack/mount? and how did you do the underside of the seats like that?

thats what o2 sensors are for some backpressure is better than no backpressure, but the stock muffler def. doesnt provide the right amount. if youre going to do straight pipes the best way to do it is draw on the pipes with a grease pencil from the header/manifold back, then run it for a good 10 minutes or so, so it gets good and hot, then look at the pipes, the grease pencil writing will be burnt off to a certain point, where it starts again is the perfect length for your exhaust.

if youre just looking for it to be loud you can look at some cerwin vega speakers. i hate them myself, but theyre efficient as hell (the ones ive messed with were) and are loud.

just like the title says, how do the MB Quart Premium comps stack up to the Hertz Hi-Energy comps or vice-versa? ive always liked MB Quart speakers but its been a long time since iver heard a pair. and i know the hertz stuff sounds good.
