  1. Hey Steve. I'm not sure what the laws are like in Cali...but ere in AZ you can only shoot someone if you are afraid for your life or if they are in possesion of a deadly weapon and are obviously about to use it. Now a deadly weapon can be your fist if it's used against an older man or woman. Also...in AZ if you see a guy grab a kid, or raping a woman you can shoot no questions asked.

Or set fire to an occupied building.

    True story

  2. First scenario, definitely would not fire.

second scenario, it would be kinda hard to know if he was going for my gun unless he managed to get his hand on it. If someone is going for my gun, I would definitely pull the trigger on them...but over a few dollars, no way. A life is worth way more than a few dollars.

so you gonna let someone rough up your pops while you have a gun in your hand? Dude is taking a legger MINIMUM if im at the store. Maybe not shoot his head because i wouldn't want to clean up that mess.

Steve, I was under the impression you were talking about the michael brown case. In that situation, he was not pummeling the old man, he basically shoved him out of the way. I'm not going to shoot someone for that.

If someone actually got into a fight with my dad...i still don't think i'd pull the trigger with him being so close to my dad. I would definitely pick up the closest blunt object/bat and definitely go at him though.

Strong Arm Robbery. It wan't a simple shove. And it was NOT "shoplifting" like some idiots claim. I really just want to know out of curiosity how normal people would act in the same situation. So many people have double standards. They see a simple push to an old man at the store but put your own frail old pop's in the store with you and a gun on your hip. Would you pull it out and not shoot? I might not want to shoot either, depends on my anger level. But i think it would at least come out. Strong arm robbery, remember that.

Damn, based on my first post in this thread, I think I just got called an idiot :D

  3. Heres a good one Whats everyone see here and make sure you pay close attention. It's not always so cut and dry and on first look you're probably gonna think wtf.

Looked like the 2nd detective that came around the corner shot him. He had to make a split second decision and was probably hard to tell if he was putting the gun down or getting ready to raise it up like maybe he dropped it. May have felt he was saving the other cop from getting shot. The shooter had no time to analyze. Adrenaline was pumping and it was real time.

Are you that good of a shot to where you would shoot a guy in the leg while he was close enough to your pops to have his hands on him? Or when would you squeeze that round off?

  5. #1-This is a tough one. I don't know what the legal issues would be by shooting the guy. Unless he's armed, then no question he's taking a couple.

#2-Definitely shoot to kill. Legitimate self defense. The issue you might run into here though, is some states have some retarded laws when it comes to carrying or

transporting a gun in a motor vehicle.

I don't carry, but know enough to answer.

Here in AZ you are justified in using deadly force if you can prove that you felt that yours or someone elses life was in immediate danger and there were no other options to save the life. You could PROBABLY get away with shooting the guy. The courts would take into consideration the 2 feet and 200lbs difference

  6. Question #1

If you and your pops own a family business (like the corner store)...... and someone 2 feet taller and 200lbs heavier than your father grabs something off the counter, grabs his shirt before tossing him violently into the shelves on his way out the door (with stolen product)....and you are packing. What are you going to do about it? Does he make it out the door? Or do you feel that is a simple "shoplift" and let it go?

    Question #2

You are not a cop. Just a regular person sitting in traffic. You are packing. Someone walks up to your window, punches you in the face and tries to take your gun. Does he live to see another day or do you just let him have your gun?

the only reason i am asking this is because i know most of you guys have guns capable of killing a deer from 600 yards away with bullets that can travel through 10 houses before it slows down...just to protect yourself. Super proud gun owners. Ready to fuck up anyone who tries to bring you or your family harm. How would you react to question #1 and #2?

#1 I would consider it shoplifting andtry to whoop his ass or at least try to when he shoved my dad.

    #2 Dude would be shot

    What about you Meade?

  7. Still in for answers about gain overlap.....

    Anyone?

    And trade in program.

-10db on the Plus version and -10db on the original version are both the same. The difference is that you can adjust your overlaps down to the tenth from 15db down instead of only having 4 choices. With a new digital readout, you can actually see on screen what is happening. You can see where gains are when the customer shows up (and know how F##KED UP they really are, and they ALWAYS are). You can set the gains properly and record the results so you know if they were tampered with at a later time. It has HV parts inside of it so it can take ANY amp on the market even @18v fully clipped and not blow up. It has a few other useful features as well.

But if you only used your's once, you have no current job, i don't suggest you order up the new model. Leave well enough alone for now. The standard DD-1 is still the flagship of our brand and will do just fine :) Upgrade when you are ready to get even more serious, but right now you should be ok.

Damn Steve. As if you didn't have enough of my respect already bro.

Thank you for the info. I'm going to keep looking for the trade in program thread, or better yet I'll shoot you an email and reference this thread to ask about trading my DD-1 in for the +

    Thanks for clearing that up!
