Tried woofersetc. Would cost me over 150 and 200 for what I want. The cheapest place I found is at carsterrogiant.com Are they a trusted sundown dealer? I've never heard of them just wanna know if there legit before I make a $600 order.

I'm trying to make an order for a sub. I live in anchorage, alaska. Free shipping to up here seems to be impossible. Or even a place that will ship for under $100. Suggestions

Go for the X. If it's not getting loud your box is all wrong.

I figured I'm not trying to only do decaf music and want a good in between. (Don't really listen to decaf/slowed at all ha) Anyways as good as I can get with the x without sacrificing anything. So I'm open to a different tuning if you think I'll get more out of it. I'll go run outside and take some measurements real quick.

He put it in a ford ranger so his dimensions are a bit smaller then mine so that might be. You think window brace is needed? Or just some wooden dowels? Also you have anyone that might be able to hook me up with a design.

Ram designed it for the sundown. My t1 box and same with my friends was designed by joe x.

It was designed by guy at ram designsAlso yes with port facing rear wall brings the most output. Haven't built a box to have the port facing the side door. If that's what you mean

It's very sq right now and the dust cap gets warm after a good 10-15min of playing. He also had a rockford t1 15 just like me and he said his t1 was out doing the x so he gave it to me. I'm in the same boat it's barely competing with the t1. Sq wise is great but pure loudness nothing special. The box for the t1 is basically the same thing as this except 6inches shorter. Just from the looks of this thing I know it should be on a whole other level. But getting there is my question.

I got it because a friend wasn't happy with it and gave it to me for cheap. So I'm trying to make the best out of it until I can sell it for a sub that suits me best. I wish I had the money so I could do that.

I don't really listen to decaf music. Mostly a lot of techn9ne,e-40,juicy j, yelawolf, tyga just whatever new is out. Wanting to get this thing going louder. So far it's actually a bit quieter then my rockford t1 that was tuned to 33hz. Should I tune higher? More port?

Up the port area to about 60 but keep it tuned to 32 It's goin in my ext cab truck in the back seat area. So keep the tuning you think

Could it maybe be because of my port area? Im looking into trying a new box but not sure what all should be changed Didn't even think of the volt meter. Should of bought that awhile ago. Thanks for the input

I've got 50-51sqin port area. Have window brace and double baffle so I know the box isn't warping.

Ya it's a different box. My amp right now is a bb2400 running at 1ohm. Stock alt, stock battery that has died on me 20+ times in the past year on me. No big 3. Pretty much stock everything. I'm just trying to figure if my amp is bad. It's definitely had years of abuse.

I just installed my x15 tuned at 32hz. I had a rockford t1 15 tuned at 33hz. In terms of loudness to the ear the x15 sounds just about the same loudness wise except for the real low notes have much more bang to it. Now I know this is built for low end sub I was just expecting my system to overall get louder. The sound quality is amazing for sure much better then It was. I just figured i was looking at getting a bit louder with the new sub. Now my electrical is really bad. My planet audio logo light on the amp turns completely off when I turn it up. Is it just the power I'm running it at? I have the amps gains set with a dd1. When I'm bumping the light will start going off like to the beat of the music. I'm guessing the amp is losing all of its power at those moments. I don't really notice the music getting quieter from my sub. I'm thinking my amp has probably been killed. It's been doing this for about a year now. Also what's a way I can test to see what my amp is putting out

Gonna be ordering a d2 x 15 from amazon instead of ssa store. Figure shipping would be cheaper to Alaska. Is shipping that sub from amazon gonna have bad shipping packaging? Like will it be safe from being destroyed? Gonna order tomrow so wanna know asap
