This exact thing happened to me yesterday. but now i got it working good. my plug got corroded and wouldn't turn the alt on.

You my friend deserve a cookie. it turn on. when i hard wired a 12 volt wire to the on/off switch plug. So what i'm going to do is have my alt running off of my accessory . line so when my car turns on the alt will turn on. THANK YOU.

its a 3 pin wire plug but only 2 are used. the other one is for my voltage controller.

no it just stays @ 11.3 when i drive it's not going up. when i turn my lights on, it goes down to 11.2 then will go back up ot 11.3-.4 after i turn my lights off. right now i think i am running my car straight off my batteries.

Just wondering if this happened to anybody else. i started my car this morning and my voltage will not go past 11.3 volts. i have a mechman alt and need help.

So My amp is @ 2 Ohms, when i set it the DMM i should be reading @ 70.71 Volts and then i guess i will have my Gain set right?

See i didn't know that now tomorrow i will go and try to tune it right.

I dont know why your saying that. i broke in my sub in for 2 weeks before i even touched my gain. I only then slowly raised it in week incriminates. Nothing ever gets hot. I never smelled anything burning. So how am i trashing my stuff? No i dont have a ocilliscope. If i'm doing something wrong please tell me. that's why i am on these forums to learn i always thought i was doing the right thing.

My sub never got hot just around little warmer then room temp. Then what is actually considered "full tilt"?
