i know , but a low tuned enclosure doesnt always sound good with all music , especially not big woofers

i know what ur saying , the black box is 4.1 cu tuned to 35 im doing the 45s now and resining the shit out of the inside hope it helps tho

so heres the thing , about a 6 month ago , i looked into getting a into the DD brand , so i rushed down to my local and only DD dealer and picked up a SVC DD 1015a . boasting a whole .. 400 Rms . It was all i could afford at the time , and also DD's entry level range woofers. i need it to bump . i had it in my civic and it bumped hard . now that i have it it my hatchback , im not even dropping alarms no more .. i pulled an old sealed box out of the garage the other day , droppped the DD in there and i must say , the bass is tight , sounds great on all music , but its lacking overall output . the sealed box is 3.5cu external so probably around 3.3 internal excluding the woofer . now ive playd with ported boxes and it seems to work well in a 4.8cu ft tuned to 32hz . in my civic , but that box does not do shit in the hatchback toyota . So what i decided to do now is resin the inside of another box and do the 45's , coming in at about 4cu ft tuned to 35hz what should i do ? would resining the sealed box make any diff at all ? Sealed box 3.5cu ported box with resin in action 4 cu

now four of those , would have the beat down loww

and then hope the action does not kill the pc

Hey guys Most of my boxes are made out of particle board , while i dont see how it can post a problem , im after a little bit more oomph i decided to coat the inside with resin and 45 the corners ... i have a couple of questions .. 1 how much hardener drops per 100ml? 2 would there be any acoustical difference? 3 how long does this take to dry? thanx peeps

id say boomy is good when i just have one woofer giving me the output of 2. the bass hits hard and low - and i get mean trunk lid flex - i guess im just too used to the 4 15's

with the changed port and the freq drop , the low down freq's bang nicely now ...

if the port is too big it acts like pump .. it moves alot of air but there is no energy .. know what i mean ?

went from 16 x 2.8 to 16 x 2 look this is a dd entry level , so i doubt that it will need huge ports .

okay ended up dropping the tuning freq to 32hz by narrowing the port . box is still sealing up . hope it feels good

nah , small box doesnt work well , doesnt go low and boomy ...

had starsound woofers previously , 4 of them . roscoe, ive dried that , id doesnt seem to get pressure that way . seems to hit harder hitting off the reflex of the boot . any other ideas? maybe tuning?

hey Guys , Ive recently sold my 4 15's and now my one single voice coil Digital designs 1015a is back in. the current box is 4.8cu ft tuned to around 38-40hz with a slot port on the right side in my toyota starlet . sub is facing back and so is the port . The box is about as big as it will go to get in there it plays nice , it goes low , it goes loud . but i want it louder now .. amp is a ice power 8000D - around 1500w Rms what should i do ?

yes you can . if the awd had to be switched off * in some way* i think the gas millage would increase

got the problem sorted ! my trip switch tripped some how it wasn't charging the rear battery , i flipped it back and the alt started working !

400bucks for the BTL 18 aint bad at all!!
