  2. Local shop building box, dimensions I come up with are 33 long, 14.5 wide, 10 in depth for a total of 2.78. Going in ford f350 diesel extended cab, taking out large bench seat, any help on port/vent lengths just to compare with what they come up with.
  3. My cousin wants to put 4 level 2 10's in a BMW trunk, my question is he wants 2 in a vented box and 2 in a sealed box. I told him I wouldn't advise this do to difference in sound, opinions fellas.
  4. Come on there is no B stock only DC stock, GRADE A

  8. The guys at work give me shit but got bit by the bass 20 years ago and can't ride around without it. It was limited space in my work truck but it pounds. I can see a few seems in the carpet but it was freezing out, thanks again guys, only DC around here that I know of.
  9. Hey guys built the box and it is crazy. Appreciate the help sorry for all the questions, just wanted it to be killer, and it is. Kudos raptorman and corona jeff.
  10. Hey raptoman and Jeff I built the new box and it is a night and day difference, this is tunes to 33.25 hz, just got it carpeted and hook back up and it is crazy sorry or being a pain this week but it is worth it, just wanted to make sure the shit would be optimum and it was thanks again.
  11. enlighten Orionstang. it is a single twelve, have been working with these 2 gents on getting the parameters correct, right now it is in a 1.25 net box tuned to 46hz and just ain't cuttin it. Have ran sealed with fosgates but would liked to go with vented, if it is going to sound shitty I can go sealed I guess, thought anyone? 1.2x 15 x 31 port
  12. the above specs work 1.25 net, 1.73 gross tuned to 33.24, port area per cube 14.40. And this will work in the limited space I have. Port width 15in 1.2 wide and 31 long. Just don't want sealed but last resort if need be.
  13. Sorry for being retarded. New dimensions are 19.5 Hx 16.5 Wx 12.56D. Port 15inHx1.2Wx 31in L. sub dis .14 for a gross of 1.73 net of 1.25. Port area per cube of 14.40 tuned to 33.24
  14. how can i do that. I tweak the heigth and port width to 1.1 or 1.2 but throws internal net and gross and tuning out when i do this. and length and it stays at 12.00 in sq. Everything seems to be to spec
  15. Dc level 2 12. Torres dimensions are 18 3/8 H, 16 1/2 W, 12 9/16 D. Port 15 in H, 1 in. W, 25in long. Physical port length 23.25. 3 common port walls .14 displacement for sub. 1.62 gross. 1.25 net at a tuning frequency of 33.56. Will start rebuild tomorrow, just wanted a higher caliber checker. Port area is 15.00 in sq. port volume .23ft cu. port area Per cube 12.00 in sq. Let me know if i need to change thanks, seems to meet perameters
  16. alright after some time I think i have got what you adivise. 22in high 16.5 wide 12 9/16 depth. port 15 in wide 1 in width 25 in long. .14 woofer dispalcement gives me gross of 1.97 and net of 1.25 and tuning frequency of 33.85 hz. Please check my calcs and I will start rebuild this weekend. Thanks again fellas. On the Torres calc when you put in 25 in vent length it say physical is 23.25, do you build it 25 in long or 23.25?
  17. Yeah aero or pvc. With the dimensions i have to work with inner 15 in w, 10.5 d, 16.5 h the only way I can get the tuning down to 36.08 hz is to go 16.5 tall, 5/8 wide and 24 in long for the vent. right now it's tuned to 53.21. existing vent is 1 in wide 16.5 tall and 13 in long. will 5/8 gap restrict to much?
  18. Hey corona jeff or raptorman, as previously discussed I am about maxed out on space, I punched into Torres calc and if I use 2 2in by 9in ports it gets the tuning to where you advised, but will that be enough port for the sub? Otherwise I might have to just go with sealed. Tried going to 3 or four in ports but it raised it back to the mid 50 hz range.
  19. the torres calc says 2 2in ports 7in long will get my existing box dimensions tuning to 35 hz. will these ports be to small and create noise, i won't have enough room to go vented as previously discussed.
  20. jeff these are the dimensions they gave me when I ordered the sub from you. What if i could extend it to say 16 inches?
  21. yeah will have to rebuild, just not enough room to extend port that long.
