I have some speaker wire that I got out of a sub box, two wires attached to eachother, both black, no identification marks, one [insulation] is round, other is square. Which one is pos + neg? Or will I be okay without knowing?

They don't have a pos or neg charge until you connect them to a source. Electricity doesn't care what color the insulation is.

Just decide which way you want to roll with it and keep it the same throughout

These guys don't know anything. The round is positive. Being round. It help the flow. The square is made for grounding. God,.. Dumbasses. Eveyone knows power flows easy through round.
