  1. he lives near there. thanks for the input, i have no idea what something like this is worth to people. guess it kinda all depends on the person too.
  2. im sure alot of you remember this build, and for those of you who dont or have not seen it heres a link. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...50&hl=hatch there has been a few more mods to the car since the build. the car now has fiberglass pods on the doors that now house the rf 6.5" components as well as a pods on the kick panel that house 8"rf P1's. The car did do a 152.3 bassrace on the dash and a 154.4 at 49hz. since the car being metered we threw in the allthread and support beams on the roof as well as filling the hatch with foam and bolting it down. We also were able to fix some bad conections in wiring and were able to get voltage up 1 volt from when i was metered. There is a def. a noticible difference in how loud it is now from before which theoretically should mean the car increased by 3dbs? did it actually do this? i have no idea and im not going to say that it did or didnt there isnt really anyway to tell except meter it. but i would be willing to bet that the car could hold atleast a steady 153.5 or higher on bassrace now. anways even though this car is insane, makes it difficult so see while driving, and makes it physically impossible to inhale a ciggarette while its on, me and the owner have decided to move on to bigger and and louder things. Im not really sure what a car like this is worth since ive never dealt with selling anything with a system of this magnitude, obviously the price is based more on the system than the car. anyways the owner would like to start out by asking $8000. ,willing to consider lower REASONABLE offers no lowball offers please dont waste mine or his time. owner does not need the money its simply going to be used just for another project and he has put more than twice the asking price into the car so hes not looking to get rid of it quick just to get rid of it.. The system consist of 2 18" Fi BTL's Fully loaded Dual 1 ohms, 2 rf T40001bd's, 1 Pair of RF Power 6.5" components, 2 RF 8" P1's, 1 RF Power 600.2, 1 RF 3sixty.2, All wiring is Kicker, Double Big 3, 2 runs pos. 2 runs neg. of 1/0, and Iraggi 180 amp alt (biggest alt made by anyone for this car),1 kenetik hc800 upfront, 2 kenetik hc2400 in back. i believe that owner has and high model eclipse deck in the car right now. but has a few other decks lying around that are practically brand new that im sure he would be willing to swap out if you purchase the car. The Subs and 40001bd's have a less that 15 hours on them seeing that they are on a switch and are pretty much only turned on to demo or test the car. the car is a 1990 honda civic hatch, 5speed, ac works good, manual widows, and door locks have been coverted so they are power when using remote for alarm. if you have anymore questions feel free to shoot me a pm and ill be happy to answer them and get you contact info for the owner if your serious about it. again like stated neither me or the owner are sure on the value but $8000 is what the owner would like to get from it and there is at least twice that into products and build materials. the car is located near Santa Barbra, California. The owner would be willing to deliver the car within reasonable distance. i will be more than willing to answer any questions you have about the car, even if your not interested in buying, but please dont pretend to be just to get info and what not. Thanks, JC
  3. i would go with 8-9 cubes before sub and port displacement and about 80 inches of port
  4. i woulndt go any bigger that 10 cubes for 2 fi 15's. the blowthough project i did with 2 15" fully loaded Bl's i went with 3.5 cubes per sub @32hz and they sounded really good
  5. ya its going to take up a little room but not much. depending on how many layers you do and how thick the mat is, you could mesure the thickness of it and add that to the thickness of the wood, recalculate and then you have your answer if you wanted to be really precise. but just adding 3 or 4 layers to stregthen a box isnt gonna take up that much space and probably not make a noticable difference in sound (at least not to the ear)
  6. the gsxr yes the zx6r no. ive taken my friends gsxr's around my neighborhood and stuff but ive never wanted to take someone else's bike out on the busy roads. i like the way it feels but i dont know if ill like the zx6r better. no one is gonna let me test drive a zx6r unless they have money in hand in case it gets wrecked (which is understadable) the only problem is i wont have the money till my burban sells and i really wanna figure this out before it sells so once it does i can go out and get something. just sitting on the bike i like the feel of the zx6r better but i dont know how it feels riding it. so idk.......
  7. well im getting a bike and i cant decide what to get. 5 of my close friends that ride all ride gsxr's (2 600's,750,2 1000's) and they all swear by them. ive always like the gsxr's but while i was looking for bikes i came across acouple of 05-06 kawasaki ZX6R's (636). i really like the looks of this bike and all of the reviews ive read pretty much say that the bike beats any other (600cc) bike of its year in all comparisons. well my conflict is even thought i love the looks of the ZX6R i like the lookes of the 06-07 gsxr 600's a little better. the other thing is that all the reviews are saying that the zx6r is great but im having trouble finding un-biased opions. the only people i find to talk to about them is the owners selling them (which obviosly there not gonna say bad things about somthing there trying to sell) and my friends which all say its a good bike but to buy gsxr instead (because thats what they all ride). So which bike would you pick? please dont tell me another choice, just between the 2 which one....... 2005-2006 Kawasaki ZX6R(636) 2006-2007 Suzuki GSXR 600
  8. nice truck man lovin the build so far. ya maybe you coulda done a tone of 15's or 18's and made people shit them selfs, but like already stated, alot of the people buying product probably arent capable or dont have the money, ect. to build something really loud like that and there gonna wanna hear something they are capable of doing. as far as the outside goes def. leave it red. def. drop it and depending how far 22's or 24's colormatched face and a black lip would be sick. then airbrush some black dc logos on it maybe incorporate some flames something like the box. and maybe a cowl hood. oh and lose the chrome gas door. also i would go with the STS turbo kit vs. supercharger. its probably cheaper. at least it was gonna be if i went that way for my camaro. plus its not belt drivin so its not taking power from the engine and there is like no lag on the sts kits. plus how many people turbo a daily driver gas truck? and for the bed i was thinking you should make some sort of display or rack or somthing that could hold all the differnt model subs. that way at shows you could show off your product and people could see the differences and see them out of a box to get a better look at them and stuff.
  9. ya thats what i was thinking lol. in one of the pics of a rear sideview you can see the license plate im pretty sure its new york cuase its the only plate i could find that had blue strip at the top and bottom. so i was gonnna see where he said he was from....

Thanks, JC Sharon Newman wrote: p {margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;} Hello, The bike is still for sale. Never had any mechanical problems. I must tell you that I had to move to UK one month ago with my work and I took the bike with me hoping to drive it here as well. I work in Public relations department at a hotel here and because of this job I change my home quite often. Here I had an unpleasant surprise because the bike is an US model and to pay the registration here in Europe, to pass all the emissions and standards and many other would be quite expensive and nobody would do it. I have tried to sell it locally but it was not successfully. That is why I am trying to sell the bike back in USA, there will be no further problems because the bike passes US emissions standards and DOT & EPA as long as it has been purchased in US space. The shippi! ng and handling are included in the price. If interested please reply asap. Shipping takes 7-8 days. Thank you for your time. Respectfully, PS: I have attached more pictures with my bike ---------[ Received Mail Content ]---------- Subject : gsxr750 Date : Tue, 8 Apr 2008 15:52:39 +0800 (CST) From : Jc Miller To : [email protected] im interested in the 06 gsxr750 and i was wondering if you could please email me some pictures. thanks, JC
  11. nice bike man how do you like the r6's? im trying to decide wheather to get a newer r6 or gsxr 600/750
  12. thats kinda what i was affraid of it pretty muchs sounds like a scam to me but ive never dealt with deals that require a money transfer and stuff so i didnt really know. thanks guys for input i think ill just stay away from this deal and not risk it.
  13. I was searching for some bikes on cycle tradder and i came apon this add for an 06 gixxer750 for sale. its listed for $3900 with no pics and brief discription that basically said that it had never been laid down or dropped. there was no phone number only and email. i figured there had to be something wrong with it seeing that the cheapest i found another 06 for was $7k i believe. anways just being curious i emailed the guy and asked for pics. basically he told me that he just had to relocate to the UK for his job. he tried to take the bike over there but when he got there he couldnt get it registered being that it was sold in the us and wasnt passing emmission laws over that and it was gonna cost more than the bike is worth to get it fixed over there since there arent to many shops willing to do it. he also moves locations quite a bit and said he cant afford to keep moving it from storage yard to storage yard. so he told me he is trying to sell it in the U.S. and he is going to have it shipped here to who ever buys it included in the price of the bike. from the pics i revieved the bike looks in extremely nice condition. i also revieved a pic of the odometer which reads right under 4k miles and he confirmed that this is the current milage on the bike. he said in the price there is also a shipping insurance included to protect the bike. he gave me the name of the shipping company (www.smart-courierservice.com) and the bank (Western Union) which both seemed to check out. basiclly how it would work is that if i want it i can email or call on the number he supplied in the email and let him know i want to move forward with the purchase. he will ship the bike and send me a tracking number. once i recieve the tracking number and verify that its on its way i would have 12 hours to make the payment to Western Union. once the bike arrives which is suppose to take about 7-8 days, there is a garuantee through smart courier service that garuantees that the condition of the bike is as stated by the seller and if im not satisfied with it i have 7 days to return it which is free of charge to me and i get all my money back. This all seems to check out ok but at the same time seems kinda wierd. what do you guys think? did i come across and extremely good deal or is some one trying to screw me over. heres some pics of the bike.
