so picked up the alt from my cousins it should bolt on but its a different harness its a 2 pin harness rather the 4 pin oval anyone know what goes to what? so i can just pin it in?

If its a 5.3 it should just work. I have a old 270amp from my 1999 5.7 in a buddies next gen body style with the 5.3 and it works just fine. So you're saying his alt should just bolt on? he said i can have it its never been installed arent the plugs different? and yes his was a 5.3

I have access to a 370 elite alt from a 2009 tahoe 5.3l never used. How hard would it be make it fit my 98 suburban 5.7? will it bolt up? or will i ahve to make a bracket? i know wiring the plugs are different but im sure i can get a wiring diagram somewhere?

why is everything on this forum a conistant fight? i notice this in ALOT of threads n8ball is the only person here which helpful thank you nate for trying to be helpful its 2 b2 zeros running bridged at 1 ohm and a gladen 250.4 at 2 ohms per channel.. at a half ohm each the b2s are more than likely going to be less than 80% efficent producing over 9000 k betweent eh pair drawling 11250 watts and 2200 + watt draw from the highs amp so an rms drawl of 13450 /14.4 volts thats 934 amps. Factor in most alts companies including mechman recommend 70-80 % of your current drawl in charging power thats 650-750 ish amps factor in peaks and vallies in music and you have about a 450-500 amp drawl

theres quite a few people who do in miltary or ambulance casing.. and that one pictured does 500 at idle and 900 max

lol The 274mm that I used on these is the biggest that is readily available (10.787") -- bigger slugs can still yield more BL but at this point it's already pretty silly I appreciate the comments -- been working hard over here!
