Alpine Home Theater
AlpineGuy87 replied to scarykds01's topic in Pro Audio / Home Audio / Home Theatre
5.1 is just basically your left, right, center (aka FRONTS) and then the other 2 are your Left Surround and Right Surround (positioned side of listener) then you have a Subwoofer. 6.1 could be an additional Rear called Center Rear (position directly behind listener 7.1 is Just like the 5.1 setup but with 2 extra Rear aka Left Rear and Right Rear. (positioned behind listener) Here are examples of each... -
man i wish these came with HID's lol.. then assuming all i'd need to do is swap out the bulb temps. I wish they came in automatic too so that future wife could drive it too (family car, hence Sedan) But i mean manual is fine with me, my preference is either or but auto just easy and less involved lol..

looks like you have a goal set for you there.. Pretty interesting. I would say though that the component speakers really wouldnt require that big of boxes, if you keep in mind, they dont run bad in "free-air" but if your making towers just make the towers wide enough for the speakers and with depth it depends if you'll be porting your low frequency speakers. In my opinion, the boxes for the mid's high's do not need to be that large. If you have seen the prefab boxes for like 6x9's you'll see that you really dont need whole lot of box for those. However if you plan to mix in a mid-ranged low-ranged woofer in there you'll need to get the specs right for porting that sub or mid-ranged speaker -

I have an Alpine Headunit CDA-9851 All buttons work, cosmetically 10/10 I've had no problems with any of its button functions or anything like that. The only issue I have with this is I put a CD in it and it wouldnt come out... I push eject and nothing happens.. I know its fixable and you may know the right places to take it or what not, so if you are interested and want it, here it is.. Comes with HU, Remote, HU case, and Keys for removing Headunit from the housing frame (Installation) and wiring Harness Let me know if there are any questions I can answer

Movie: The Kingdom
AlpineGuy87 replied to AlpineGuy87's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
The movie was kinda hard to follow for me cuz of the names and places but I got the general idea, it was a pretty good movie but yea stupid suicidal bombers for their "god" .. so dumb really.. blow yourself up but hey, I'm not going to get into this part of it, I'm just saying.. I think it was pretty spiffy movie, I think its crazy how they were able to film the movie where they did unless its like a mockup city that resembles the real thing -
I hear you on the used car thing, I've always wanted to get a BRAND spankin new car, It all depends how much longer my current car is going to last and depends how much money i have saved up by the time i need to get new car. I thinkin' I'm goin with the Civic Si Sedan. Its only a shame that its Manual Transmission only cuz I was ready to get away from that but hey doesnt bother me i know how to control em. lol Chevy Boy, do you know what kind of headlights they come standard with? HIDs?

Eric's New Build
AlpineGuy87 replied to Eric B's topic in Member Rides & Builds -- Show off your whip, Show off your System!
keep it comin man!! more pics!!! where the subs bro? Car? -
That is true man. I'm not FULLY decided yet, it will be about 2 years but i like both. and the sedan si still pretty slick car!! I would get the performance grade model then just slick it up how I see fit to do. I drive highway all the time to work, 35 mpg on highway is better than mine right now! lol. I know that all the Mugen's come standard Manual Transmission. do the Si come in any Automatic or all Manual? (I've done 4 years on Manual I'm ready to drive auto.. lol
-
Well the RR is freakin sweet. But to go about it, i need a 4-d sedan because this isnt going to be a personal driving car, its going to be a family car and i do like coupes but i've always hated climbing into the back of one and all that stuff and would hate to climb in the back to put a baby/kid back there. If the mugen is 30g's thats not what I have in mind, 25 is about where I draw the line, but if you think about it, after 2 years from now they wont be the same price and I'll be able to find a used one so taking that into consideration I COULD find a nice priced one, or better yet, who knows, I may find the Si used already pre-modified by the previous owner. Either way, I'm in love with these Si's!! But if that Mugen is 30,000 i'd be better off with Lancer Evo lol... (my old time dream car) At this rate, day, age, job... I'm just saving for the kind of car, so we'll see how it goes!

I know!! Trust me I'll love it!! I'm tired of driving my 2000 ford contour (always having issues) I just got to keep sitting down and running through my finances each month to see where i'm at and to make sure I'm saving enough money each month towards it. I would rather leave all my savings Bonds untouched even though they are matured, I would rather see them build up more! =D I figure I would at least save enough money so that I had enough to buy it but still only make monthly payments on it, I still have to start building up some good credit, I got lot of stuff to work out but This is what I've been wanting and looking at! =D Got to set some goals if you plan on reaching for something

Well I'm now saving for a new car!! hip hip horray!! Been figuring out how much money to set aside each month towards the car. This wont be till after college either, I'm thinking about 2 years from now, I know its long time from now, But I have to start saving money somewhere.. lol. I'm saving for the Honda Civic Mugen Si Sedan Its really sweet car, I'd fully load it with sport package and all!! the whole 9 yards!! I like the Blue, Silver, and Black I'm undecided on color right now but Here is what I'm diggin' What do you guys think!? I personally love it!! I already have some money put up for it, I'm starting my new Years Resolution to SAVE MONEY and this gives me so much motivation to do that!!
