  1. yep, just make sure not to block any air....yeah the port was 222 sq"
  2. your subs take up 1.04 ft3 right? your bracing will take 1ft (keep adding until it gets to 1 ft3 then stop) 21.6 minus subs and brace = 19.56 port will take about 2 ft3 = 17.56. PORT LENGTH = 15.5" = 34.93hz
  3. I use to have that one but lost it :'(
  4. also seal the rear parcel shelf. You want the trunk to be completely sealed from the cabin with the subs facing forward
  5. I don't want to type and try to explain all the math....I've been using winisd for a while to figure out port length.....If you want to learn the formulas involved get this book "Great Sound Stereo Speaker Manual" by David B Weems. I used this book for years. It took my about 3 or 4 enclosures to fully understand it. Now and then I will still pick it up for understanding...but winisd works great for giving port lengths
  6. If you have 20 cubes first decide your port area...16 sq" per cube = 320 sq" port = 20 x 16 (just an example) then you want port length for 35 hz = 20.25 " long (just use winisd for port length) but then you have a port displacement of 3.7 ft3 which needs to be subtracted and port length needs to be recalculated. then subtract 3 ft3 (rough guess) from 20 = 17ft3 change the port area to 272 sq" = 20 x 13.5 (example) the lenth will be 21.25". the port displacement will be 3.3ft3 -20 = 16.7 so change 21.25 to 21.8 = 35 hz what you end up with is a port that is 20 x 13.5 and 21.8" long (35 hz) and an enclsure that is 16.7 ft3 after port displacement before sub displacement Hope that makes sense and helps
  7. your right...Looks like the info I had was changed
  8. Seems like your always trying to prove me wrong...here is a quote from RF forum Dated 1/11/2006 There is no danger in running the unit's reserve to empty. The power supply will draw a maximum of ~350A of current period. Additionally the math that some have done for how much power for how long does not work out. As the level of charge in the high voltage system comes down the maximum power output is reduced not constant. Also the power is not just coming from the capacitors, the power supply can contribute nearly 5000 watts itself. It is not a simple linear math equation, but a differential equation. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tony D'Amore Design Engineer Rockford Corporation
  9. here's one on E-bay http://cgi.ebay.com/SOUNDSTREAM-PICASSO-PC...1QQcmdZViewItem one at Woofers etc http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=4222 ROE is $629
  10. I just noticed they want $2000 rofl....look at ROE or E-Bay or Woofers etc....all around $600 to 700
  11. that's their screw. you can go to http://soundstream.com/ and find everything..even download manuals...very nice site I've been told by two (seperate) local memphis dealers the only amp they will use by memephis is the belle. They've had nothing but probs form the bigger amps
  12. let me know what you find....I would love to do 2 btl 12's this winter with a pca3500d each..(btw I was planning of 4 12" q's but am deciding against for something a little more easier this winter/maybe upgrade to 4 btl's next winter , just add two)
  13. I've been looking at the soundstreams for a long time. I have a SS EGA1700d now and it's good. The thing that has me looking away is they are so inexpensive and I don't see to many using them..I would rather do two pca3500 for less then one rft40001, but like I said haven't seen to many of them or heard to much about them...

  15. yeah the output of punch z
  16. I did look and you have plenty of room. You only need to worry about having some space behind the magnet, depending on what sub you use alot of them vent out the back as far as the sides you have nothing to worry about as long as they are not set against the wood itself
  17. are you serious...your comparing the punch z and the hx2??? pull your head out of your ass...a hx2 will kill a punch z. just because they are both made by RF does not make them both good subs...different series/different years not even close to the same quality..I didn't want to keep going at this but the statements are retarded If you want new RF then go with power t1 or t2 or even a P3..I wouldn't suggest any line below that....you can get better for the same money that's up to you
  18. if they are so good why don't you want them... >:(BTW not real hard to get bump in a small ass s10 cab been there done that...If he's not happy with them and if they are at there limits then why would you stick up for them...Maybe he know's how good bass sounds....I'm going to stop there 'cause this is a cool forum and I don't want to start flaming :-X
  19. yeah, I was asking DisDat...RF shows them to be 150 rms
