The sealed box thing is a waste of time. Play a sweep at a moderate volume (not too high to risk breaking anything, but not too low) to get a feel for what frequency range you are loud in. Once you get an idea, it's time to play frequencies in that range at full tilt. You must remember that your frequency can change with different setups, tuning, and also power. In my experience, more power often times raises the note.

There should be several MECA shows in Louisville throughout the year. Shows will pop up on the calendar once they're planned.

Will they frown on you for running small fuses? No. How do you think some of us are getting big #'s in a low class?

Yeah, it's a MECA event. Unfortunately, I won't be going.

Not enough volume for ported. Would probably sound quite peaky.

You can register and become a MECA member at the show. I actually re-register my member status @ Casper, every year. I think it's $20 for new members. You only need to register as a member if you want to accumulate points towards going to World Finals. If you only plan on doing Carl Caspers, then a membership isn't needed. See ya there.
