    Sundown Amps

Yeap, with good electrical it shouldn't be a problem.
  6. The flare makes it act like quite a bit more than that
  7. Ryan should be competing both nights and I don't think that Andy will compete, but will be there.
  8. Do sub to the side and ports back. We can do 149's and 150's with single 15's in SUV's.
  9. You'll have to man. We'll be rolling pretty deep at Caspers; I think that we'll have at least 8 cars. We'll have some surprises this year:)
  10. Hey, what's up man!? Will you be making it to Carl Casper's?
  11. First, you need to have access to a meter. Second, you need to spend some time with that meter. The only way to get loud numbers is to spend time on the meter and getting creative with how to modify the inside of your car to aid with increasing sound pressure. Remember, you have to satisfy what the car wants. Some ideas: Play with opening windows and door. Generally (not always), the car is loudest with the door shut and window up on the side where the meter is. It's also generally louder on the side of the car where the sub is (I have experienced the opposite, however). Design your boxes where the sub is as far from the opening of the port as possible. Loud boxes also tend to have a lot of port area and long ports. But again, I have seen the opposite. Play with the port and sub firing direction. This has a lot to do with scores, usually. Remember to think for yourself and try everything. Take note of peoples advice, but at the same time don't take what they say as correct. Bad advice has frequently been give to me. If I didn't mention it, TEST!!!
  12. 2 18's or 3 15's and you can still keep your back window.
  13. If you can't break a 150 from copying this setup, then something is wrong:
  14. Make sure that you have adequate port area, because port area is good I also don't feel that the amount of cone area you're wanting is necessary for that truck. But, if that's what you want then that's what you want.
  15. Sub back or sub forward work well. However, sub back can cause problems if the box is big and it blocks the wave from coming back into the car. Most SPL trunk installs are sub forward.
  16. I will do a better one soon. My truck is still getting louder and this was the only attempt that I've ever had at one. Next time I'll roll down the window a bit more.
  17. I'm not sure what they go for. Both the amp and sub aren't mine, they are a teammates and he bought the amp from Mike Elder who is sponsored by Powerbass. I don't really care for their subs to much, but I liked the amp while it was in my truck.
  18. There are pics of my box floating around here And as for my 149.7, that score will be erased if I go to another show before finals:)
  19. To be honest, the HDC3 let me down a bit on its burp score, but it's defiantly a good sub for the money. The chick is actually some girl that one of my teammates is talking to so she gets passed around for videos a little bit:) If you didn't notice this video is actually from Snoopdan's account. He's a buddy of mine:)
  20. Single 15" HDC3 on a Powerbass 3000 @ 0.5 ohm. The note was kind of high for a hair trick (46 hz), but I don't think that it's too bad for the circumstances.
