So I have 2 Skar Audio Lp1000.1D v2’s and I’m looking to strap both of them to 1 sundown x12 v2. But I’m a little confused on a few things. The amps can be strapped and are stable to 2 ohms. So do I need a D2 or D4 ohm subwoofer. And then how do I wire the sub to the 2 amps. I’m not a noob at car audio this just has me confused. A pictures worth 1000 words so if someone could is able to draw it out for me it would mean the world. Thanks in advance.
Okay. I've looked and looked tried to find this out on my own but im having a hard time. I have TWO sundown 12 (not that it matters) X's being dual 4ohm on the way. looking at getting 2 AudioQue 2200D Amps. I understand AQ and SQ are the same company. On the website it says Daisy Chain connection of two Q1-2200D’s stable down to two ohmsSo could i wire a sub to the master as 2ohm and the slave sub at 2ohm to get the max strap power? or am i just kinda screwed with the selection of voice coils i pick. wasnt on planning to buy a different amp(s) until i blew my amp setting up a temporary sub and box untill my X's showed up in the mail.
I plan on strapping two amps together for one of my subs. The questions are as follows: 1) Will strapping the two amps together do anything to the resistance of the sub? It is a dual 1 ohm. I know each output from the amp goes to each voice coil of the sub. 2) Will the remote gain control the gain for both amps at the same time? 3) Does each amp need to be tuned separately from the other? Or does the datalink cable do that for you? I guess I'm just not aware of exactly what data the datalink transfers between the two amps. 4) When putting one amp into slave, does it also make the output signal 180 degree shifted from the master amp?
