elkiko2004
hi, i used to have 2 mtx 9515''s dual 4. i have a mmats 3500.1 wich does 2700 at 1 ohm. my hu is an eclipse cd 3100 (80 max volume) my amp gain is at 1/3. so turnin the volume up, i never pased 65 and it slamed very nice no clippin. so last monday i just got my new fi btl dual 2 fully loaded. i hooked up to the amp in parallel this givin .7, but with rise and that i think it was closer 1 ohm. when it comes to 55 volume ( with the same gain ) i can hear a noise, comin up of the dust cap i think...something like plop plop, and then shuts up, 2 secs and starts bass again, shuts up 1 or 3 secs and bass again. so i tried then to wire the sub in serial wich is 2.8 and my surprise ?? when i was at 55 at volume again i heard the noise again and then the amp shuts amp and go into protect mode. it didnt smell smoke and did see any smoke so. i cant see anything burned up...it seem all perfect. since then the amp is in protect mode... please some of you can help me or tell me whats happenin ?? or its a sub problem and because of that my amp has that problem ?? thanks hu ECLIPSE cd3100 FI BTL 18'' fully loaded 7ft3 @ 35hz with 126 sq amp MMATS 3500.1 amp DLS ca23 set DLS up6 AUDIOCONTROL epic-160 KINETIK hc600 -monster cable-

AI James
sounds like your amp crapped out. why not check the ohm loads on the sub and check your voltage at the amp
01xtreme
Mmats amps seem to be some of the easiest amps to blow for some reason. Everyone who tells me they have a mmats amp never has it in their car because it's blown and getting fixed. Just my casual observation. My System: Pioneer AVH-P3200BT 4-Dayton 7 inch reference series (front doors) 8-Onkyo 3/4 inch tweeters (dash) 1-Sundown Audio 100.4D (mids/highs) 2-18" BTL's (for now) Crescendo 3kwp (for sale) Complete rebuild coming soon... elkiko2004
sounds like your amp crapped out. why not check the ohm loads on the sub and check your voltage at the amp well, the amp never saw under 12 v....allways 12+ .... when i used in parallel (.7) plus rise....didnt give problems...but that noise still there at 55 volume, so when i change it to serial (2. plus rise, when it was at 55 volume, i hear the same noise and the amp went into protect...i don know what hapend.... hu ECLIPSE cd3100 FI BTL 18'' fully loaded 7ft3 @ 35hz with 126 sq amp MMATS 3500.1 amp DLS ca23 set DLS up6 AUDIOCONTROL epic-160 KINETIK hc600 -monster cable-
AI James
maybe having it that high was enough to fry it, are there internal fuses in the amp
elkiko2004
maybe having it that high was enough to fry it, are there internal fuses in the amp no bro they have no fuses, so the amp couldnt push a btl 18´´??? he pushed the mtx 9500´s to their limits.... hu ECLIPSE cd3100 FI BTL 18'' fully loaded 7ft3 @ 35hz with 126 sq amp MMATS 3500.1 amp DLS ca23 set DLS up6 AUDIOCONTROL epic-160 KINETIK hc600 -monster cable-
