Also which port would work better in a trunk car.. Box is about 6-7 inches from the trunk lid. Boxes.jpg

Box looks ok to me, 1.5 cubic feet per sub should be more than enough, and about port area, well those are some low line subs with a small xmax, i think port area is good, i might try it a little bit bigger but that would be me, and about the images, i like way more the port on the picture to the right, the other port might cause some unloading problems IMO.

I haven't personally messed with the Hifis, but I've heard from people that have that they prefer larger boxes.

really?? damn, i thought they prefered smaller boxes , i mean, is a cheap low line sub but i haven´t try it myself so i wouldn´t know.

Normally a low-line sub is going to be better suited in sealed/IB boxes(Eclipse and Infinity come to mind). They'll generally have a pretty low fs, but a higher than normal qts value...good for sealed/IB, but makes them peaky in small ported boxes in a lot of cases.

Just an off topic, higher QTS is better for SPL applications because the box is way more peaky than a daily box right? so, higher QTS is better for SPL numbers?

There are tons of other variables, but it can be the case sometimes.
