What do you mean turn down the bass? the jl amp dont really gave a gain its bass boost and it was at 0 and what i mean by turn down the bass is it was like someone unkooked one side of my rca cable lol or turned the sw level on my radio down... and it only does it when i have it up to good listening level and the sw level on the radio is usually set at -5.. and the amp only cuts out when i hit low bass... You may have dropped low and caused some damage. no damage.. you need to make sure the subs are in phase .. if you have one thats 180 out of phase its gonna cancel itself out.. double check all your connections. I HAVE PLENTY OF TIMES BUT WITH THE TRUCK AS SOON AS I PUT THE 1000/1 ON IT THE PROBLEM WAS GONE AND I DIDNT EVEN TOUCH THE SPEAKER. AND WITH THE CAR I HAVE IT HOOKED UP THE SAME WAY AS I DO IN THE TRUCK WITH WITH THE 500/1 AGAN AND HAVIN THE SAME PROBLEM BUT I JUST DONT THINK ITS LOUD IN THEIR BECAUSE I HAVE THE SEATS UP AND ITS IN A SORTA BIG CAR ITS IN A 94 OLDS CUTLASS CIERA LOL JUST A WINTER RIDE FOR NOW LOL...
