  1. he shouldnt need to wait that long if he did a WOT pull in first .. but if you slowly accelerate. its not gonna spool
  2. if hes asking why his turbo isnt spooling than he shouldnt be touching a tune.. even on stock tune the turbo should at minimum build boost in first gear. and you realize the turbo will only fully spool up if your rompin on it.. it wont build any boost during normal babied driving.
  3. the turbo should still be at least starting to spool in first gear. turbos work off exhaust gas pressure.. the more loaded the engine is the quicker the turbo spools. there may be something wrong with the turbo.
  4. just a fyi to prevent this from now on.. if your loosening and it starts to bind up.. work it back in and out. it will break up the build up in the threads
  5. if you cant find them then your surround could be glued to the basket.
  6. that couldnt be further from the truth.. running rich will cause it to run like a pig.. running super rich can wash the cylinder walls down and cause excessive wear. and if your rich enough to do that. and you keep driving then your gonna wash out the bearings on the lower end and knock knock knock.
  7. when they gave away the second skin when they first popped on the forum i had it do the exact same thing..
  8. yeah i figured that.. thats why i was like why isnt it moving anymore.... the air pressure should be moving it at the very least.
  9. x2 this is true my moms 4.0 I6 jeep grand cherokee burns just as much fuel as my boys 5.3 v8 tahoe just cuz it has to work harder to make more power than a v8 does (calculated we both get around 13.5 city) that inline six is gonna last a shit ton longer than that v8.. the 4.0 is a beast of a motor. no slouch.
  10. ill be there. hopefully with the colt.. at very least the bmw.
  11. i use a multimeter and a test tone.. play the test tone and slowly turn up the lpf until voltage starts to fall off.
  12. your buddy is an idiot. your current exhaust will be fine with the single turbo.
  13. looks liek the amp is putting dc voltage by they way they are acting. stop playing them and get a multimeter.
  14. your gonna need a mulitmeter to check your ohm load. its the first tool you should buy before even installing a system.. did you do the positive input on a switch to the remote turn on? does it still pop? if so you might have an issue with the amp.
  15. your throttle repsonse is gonna be amazing once you get used to a mechanical secondary. and get it tuned in for your motor.. jetting/powervalves/squirters. someone on a performance forum should get you close to optimal tuning. but i say as long as its not running lean or fouling plugs. leave it alone.
  16. and seafoam has saved my ass more times than not. btw i would only suggest the seafoam treatment in the brake booster line if your planning on doing new spark plugs after. it will only help sticky/ticking lifters if its poured in the oil a hundred or so miles before the oil change.
